Theoretically, concomitant use with antidiabetes drugs might affect glucose control and increase the risk of hypoglycemia; use with caution. Here's a twist worth understanding: glucagon isn't your typical diabetes medication. It does the opposite of most of them. Glucagon is an emergency rescue treatment that tells your liver to dump stored sugar into your blood to pull you out of dangerously low blood sugar. So while the note on file groups it with antidiabetes drugs, the concern here actually runs in your favor, not against you.

The idea that blood irradiation therapy might lower blood sugar is theoretical, based on weak evidence (a little preliminary research and one case report). Even if it does nudge sugar down, that wouldn't block glucagon from working in an emergency. The bigger point is simple: if you're considering this unproven therapy and you live with diabetes, loop in your doctor or pharmacist first so your overall glucose plan stays safe.
