No Known Interaction Found

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Buteyko Breathing Technique at all — not against Eszopiclone, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

Buteyko Breathing Technique is a practice rather than something you take. Ask your care team whether the type and intensity you plan to practice are appropriate for your health and treatment. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

“Eszopiclone (Lunesta) is a sedative sleep medicine, so the danger that matters most here is ending up more sedated than you intended, and that danger is real on this page. Nine of the 195 interactions rate major, and I'd read those first.”

About Buteyko Breathing Technique

What is Buteyko Breathing Technique?

  • Asthma symptom control
  • Reducing reliever inhaler use
  • Snoring and mild sleep-disordered breathing
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Chronic hyperventilation or breathlessness

The Buteyko Breathing Technique is a set of breathing exercises that focus on slow, gentle, nasal breathing and reduced breathing volume. Some studies suggest it may help people with asthma feel they have better symptom control and use their reliever inhaler less, but it does not improve lung function and is not a replacement for prescribed asthma medicine. It is generally low-risk, but you should always continue your usual treatment and check with your doctor before making changes.
