Resmetirom falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Comfrey interacts with.

Theoretically, comfrey might have additive adverse effects on the liver when used with hepatotoxic drugs.
Due to its pyrrolizidine alkaloid constituents, comfrey can cause hepatotoxic effects, including ascites, cirrhosis, hepatic fibrosis, hepatomegaly, and sinusoidal obstruction syndrome.

Here's the concern with pairing these two. Resmetirom (Rezdiffra) is used to treat fatty liver disease (MASH), and your care team will actually check your liver enzymes before and during treatment because the drug itself can occasionally stress the liver. Comfrey is a different story: when taken by mouth, its pyrrolizidine alkaloids can be genuinely toxic to the liver, sometimes causing serious damage. So the worry is that both could burden the same organ at the same time.

To be clear, this is a theoretical concern based on how each affects the liver, not proven cases of the two together. Still, given that you're already being treated for a liver condition, I'd steer clear of oral comfrey entirely. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before using any comfrey product.
