Acetaminophen, Oxycodone falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Comfrey interacts with.

Theoretically, comfrey might have additive adverse effects on the liver when used with hepatotoxic drugs.
Due to its pyrrolizidine alkaloid constituents, comfrey can cause hepatotoxic effects, including ascites, cirrhosis, hepatic fibrosis, hepatomegaly, and sinusoidal obstruction syndrome.

Here's the concern with combining comfrey and your Percocet (the acetaminophen and oxycodone combo). Comfrey contains natural compounds called pyrrolizidine alkaloids that can be hard on the liver, especially when swallowed. The acetaminophen half of your pain pill is also processed by the liver and, in higher doses, can stress it too. Put them together and you could, at least in theory, add up to more liver strain.

I'll be honest, this is mostly a theoretical caution based on how each works, not strong proof of harm. Still, since acetaminophen is already a liver-sensitive drug, I'd steer clear of swallowing comfrey while on Percocet. Topical comfrey on intact skin is a different story. When in doubt, check with your pharmacist or doctor.

Comfrey is a traditional herb used mainly on the skin for bruises, sprains, and joint pain, and some topical products show modest benefit for these uses. Pregnant or breastfeeding people should avoid it entirely.
