Daclizumab falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Comfrey interacts with.

Theoretically, comfrey might have additive adverse effects on the liver when used with hepatotoxic drugs.
Due to its pyrrolizidine alkaloid constituents, comfrey can cause hepatotoxic effects, including ascites, cirrhosis, hepatic fibrosis, hepatomegaly, and sinusoidal obstruction syndrome.

Here's the concern with pairing comfrey and daclizumab. Daclizumab is already known to be tough on the liver, and that risk was serious enough that it was eventually pulled from the market. Comfrey carries its own liver risk when taken by mouth because of natural compounds called pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which can scar and damage liver tissue over time.

Put the two together and the worry is simply additive liver stress, meaning more chance of things like fatigue, yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, or belly swelling. To be clear, this is a theoretical caution based on how each one works, not a proven event. Still, oral comfrey isn't safe to take regardless. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist before combining anything with daclizumab.

Comfrey is a traditional herb used mainly on the skin for bruises, sprains, and joint pain, and some topical products show modest benefit for these uses. However, comfrey contains compounds that can seriously damage the liver, so it should never be taken by mouth and should only be used on unbroken skin for short periods. Pregnant or breastfeeding people should avoid it entirely.
