About Evolocumab Injection

What Is Evolocumab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Repatha

Repatha (evolocumab) injection is used to lower LDL cholesterol — often called 'bad' cholesterol — as an add-on to diet and exercise in adults with hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol), and in adults and children aged 10 and older with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH) or homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH), which are inherited conditions that cause very high cholesterol levels from birth.

Repatha is also used to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events — including heart attack, stroke, unstable angina requiring hospitalization, and cardiovascular death — in adults who are at increased risk for these events.
