Here's the simple version: prescription methamphetamine (Desoxyn) is already a powerful stimulant. It speeds up your heart, raises your blood pressure, and ramps up alertness. DMHA is also a stimulant that pushes in the same direction. Stack the two together and you're essentially doubling up, which could mean a racing or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, anxiety, or in the worst case, more strain on your heart.

To be honest, this concern is based on how both drugs work rather than solid studies, so it's more of a logical caution than a proven event. Still, DMHA itself is an unapproved ingredient the FDA has flagged as risky, so I'd steer clear of it entirely while on Desoxyn. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing them.
