Evidence from animal studies and limited human studies suggests that DMSO may potentiate the action of numerous topical medications by increasing their absorption through the skin. This increase in absorption seems to depend on the concentration of DMSO and the molecular weight of the medication.

Here's the simple version. Aluminum chloride is the active ingredient in strong antiperspirants like Drysol and Driclor that you dab on your skin to stop heavy sweating. DMSO is known for one trick in particular: it helps other substances soak through the skin more easily. So if you put DMSO on the same area, it could drive more aluminum chloride into your skin than usual.

What that might look like in real life is more of this product's typical effects, mainly skin irritation, stinging, burning, redness, or itching where you apply it. This is based on limited human and animal data, so it's possible rather than guaranteed, and stronger DMSO concentrations matter more. Please don't combine them without checking with your pharmacist or doctor first.
