What Is Clorazepate Used For?

Brand names: Tranxene, Tranxene T-Tab, Tranxene SD

Clorazepate dipotassium tablets are used to manage anxiety disorders or for short-term relief of anxiety symptoms. They are also used as an add-on (adjunctive) therapy alongside other seizure medications to help control partial seizures.

In addition, clorazepate dipotassium tablets are used for the short-term relief of symptoms during acute alcohol withdrawal, such as agitation and tension that occur when someone stops drinking suddenly.
