Osilodrostat Phosphate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Fennel interacts with.

Theoretically, fennel might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.

In vitro research suggests that fennel inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme activity. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the simple version: your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear Isturisa (osilodrostat). Lab studies hint that fennel might slow that same enzyme down. If that happened in real life, osilodrostat could build up a bit and its effects could feel stronger. Since this medicine lowers cortisol, that might mean a higher chance of side effects like low cortisol symptoms (fatigue, nausea, dizziness, low blood pressure), or changes in things like potassium levels.

But here's the important context: this is only a test-tube finding, and it has never been seen in people. Everyday cooking with fennel almost certainly won't matter. If you're considering concentrated fennel supplements or the essential oil, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
