Enasidenib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Fucus Vesiculosus interacts with.
In vitro research shows that fucoidan, a constituent of Fucus vesiculosus, both inhibits and induces CYP2D6. This interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the honest picture: Enasidenib (Idhifa) is partly handled by a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Bladderwrack contains a compound called fucoidan that, in test-tube studies only, has both sped up and slowed down that same enzyme. So in theory it could nudge your enasidenib levels up or down, but nobody actually knows which direction it would go in a real person.
The good news is this has never been reported in humans, and the lab signal is weak and mixed. Still, with a leukemia drug like this, you don't want to gamble on too much (more nausea, diarrhea, or liver effects) or too little (weaker cancer control). Please run any bladderwrack supplement by your oncology team before starting it.

Here's the gist: bladderwrack contains a compound called fucoidan that, in lab dishes, seems to slow down an enzyme called CYP2C9. Since your body uses that same enzyme to help clear enasidenib (Idhifa), the theory is that adding bladderwrack could let the drug build up a bit, which might mean more of its known side effects like nausea, diarrhea, low appetite, or changes in your blood counts and bilirubin.
I want to be straight with you though: this is only a test-tube finding, and it has never actually been reported in real people. So the chance of a meaningful problem is low. That said, enasidenib is a serious cancer medicine, so please don't start bladderwrack without first running it past your oncology team or pharmacist.

Here's the gist for Idhifa (enasidenib). Your body partly clears this leukemia drug using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Bladderwrack contains a compound (fucoidan) that, in test-tube studies, slowed that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, your enasidenib could clear a bit more slowly and build up, which in theory might mean more side effects like nausea, diarrhea, low appetite, or rising bilirubin levels.
I want to be honest about how soft this is. The concern comes only from lab research, not from anything seen in actual patients, and it's rated a minor interaction. Still, enasidenib is a serious cancer therapy, so please don't add bladderwrack without first running it past your oncology team or pharmacist.

Here's the short version: bladderwrack contains a compound called fucoidan, and in lab dish studies only it slowed down an enzyme named CYP2C8. Idhifa (enasidenib) is used to treat adult patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) — a fast-moving cancer of the blood and bone marrow — whose disease has come back after treatment (relapsed) or has stopped responding to treatment (refractory). It is specifically for patients whose leukemia has a mutation in the IDH2 gene, which must be confirmed by an FDA-approved test before starting therapy.
