Sutimlimab-jome falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Greater Celandine interacts with.

Preliminary clinical research suggests that taking a specific semi-synthetic derivative of the greater celandine constituent chelidonine (Ukrain; not available in North America) might stimulate immune responses in cancer patients. Theoretically, taking greater celandine might decrease the effects of immunosuppressive therapy. Immunosuppressant drugs include azathioprine (Imuran), basiliximab (Simulect), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), daclizumab (Zenapax), muromonab-CD3 (OKT3, Orthoclone OKT3), mycophenolate (CellCept), tacrolimus (FK506, Prograf), sirolimus (Rapamune), prednisone (Deltasone, Orasone), and other corticosteroids (glucocorticoids).

Here's the gist for Enjaymo (sutimlimab-jome). This is an infusion that quiets one branch of your immune system to protect red blood cells in cold agglutinin disease. The concern with greater celandine is the opposite direction of what you might expect: certain celandine compounds have been shown in early research to stir up immune activity. In theory, that could push back against a medication whose whole job is to calm the immune system, possibly weakening how well your treatment works.

I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on how these things behave in the lab, not proof it happens with this exact drug. Just as important, greater celandine itself has been tied to serious liver injury, so I'd steer clear of it regardless. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist before adding it.

What Is Sutimlimab-jome Injection Used For?

Brand name: Enjaymo

Enjaymo (sutimlimab-jome) injection is indicated for the treatment of hemolysis — the breakdown of red blood cells — in adults with cold agglutinin disease (CAD). CAD is a rare autoimmune condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys red blood cells, especially in cold temperatures.

Enjaymo works to stop this destruction by targeting a key part of the immune system called the classical complement pathway. It is approved for adults only; safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
