Atropine, morphine sulfate falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Hesperidin interacts with.
Animal studies show that hesperidin has sedative effects, due to opioid receptor activity and can increase sedation when used with diazepam. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. This combination product contains morphine, which is an opioid pain reliever that already slows the brain down and can cause drowsiness. Some animal research suggests hesperidin may have mild sedative activity of its own, partly by acting on opioid receptors. The concern is that stacking the two could add up to extra sleepiness.
I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. It comes from lab and animal studies, and this effect has never actually been reported in people taking hesperidin. Still, since morphine can already cause deep drowsiness, slowed breathing, dizziness, and constipation, it makes sense to play it safe. Before adding a hesperidin supplement, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on things.

P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES

In vitro research shows that hesperidin can inhibit P-glycoprotein efflux. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the simple version. Morphine is one of those medicines that gets pushed out of your cells and gut by a little 'bouncer' protein called P-glycoprotein. In test tube studies, hesperidin (the citrus flavonoid in many vein-health supplements) seems to slow that bouncer down. If that happened in people, a bit more morphine could stay in your system, which in theory could add to its usual effects like drowsiness, constipation, nausea, or slowed breathing.
The honest part: this has only been seen in lab dishes, never confirmed in actual patients, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Everyday citrus fruit almost certainly won't matter; concentrated supplements are the bigger question mark. Since morphine is a serious opioid, just run any hesperidin product past your pharmacist or doctor first.
