Jenny Craig Diet and Oxacillin

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Oxacillin and Jenny Craig Diet in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Jenny Craig Diet alongside specific medications may be limited.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Jenny Craig Diet at all — not against Oxacillin, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

Jenny Craig Diet is an eating pattern rather than something you take. Ask your pharmacist or doctor before changing how you eat while on a prescribed medicine: some medicines are dosed around meals, and a change in diet can change how they work. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

From the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of the FDA label for Oxacillin. Read the label on DailyMed › Where a percentage is shown, it is the share of 1,115 voluntary FDA FAERS reports for Oxacillin that mention that effect — a reporting proportion, not an incidence rate and not evidence the drug caused it. Jenny Craig Diet’s licensed record lists no adverse effects our clinical vocabulary could match, so there is no Jenny Craig Diet side to compare — that is a limit of the record, not a statement that Jenny Craig Diet has no side effects.

This page covers Jenny Craig Diet only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Oxacillin page lists 56 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Oxacillin page

“Kidney harm is the first risk to understand with oxacillin (Bactocill, Prostaphlin), a penicillin antibiotic given for serious staph infections. Siberian cocklebur and asarabacca can each damage the kidneys on their own, and combining them with oxacillin risks compounding that harm; both carry major ratings, as does activated charcoal,…”

About Jenny Craig Diet

What is Jenny Craig Diet?

  • Weight loss
  • Weight management
  • Portion control
  • Building healthier eating habits
  • Support for blood sugar control through weight loss

The Jenny Craig Diet is a commercial weight-loss program, not a supplement or herb. It uses prepackaged, portion-controlled meals plus personal coaching to help people lose weight, and research generally shows structured meal-replacement programs like this can produce real short-term weight loss. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting, especially if you have a medical condition.

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Jenny Craig Diet is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Jenny Craig Diet record says about it on its own.

Jenny Craig Diet: dosing

There is no "dose" for the Jenny Craig Diet the way there is for a supplement. Instead, the program sets a daily calorie target and menu based on factors like your weight, sex, and goals, usually using their prepackaged meals plus added produce and dairy.Follow the plan and serving guidance provided by the program, and don't drop your calories lower than recommended on your own.

About Oxacillin Injection

What Is Oxacillin Injection Used For?

Brand names: Prostaphlin, Bactocill

Oxacillin Injection is used to treat infections caused by staphylococci (a type of bacteria) that produce an enzyme called penicillinase — meaning they are resistant to regular penicillin. It is specifically chosen when lab tests confirm, or strongly suggest, this type of resistant staph is the cause.

It should not be used for infections caused by bacteria that are still susceptible to regular penicillin G. If lab results show the infection is caused by something other than a resistant staph, treatment with oxacillin should be stopped and a more appropriate antibiotic used.

Most-Reported Side Effects for Oxacillin

From FAERS, the FDA’s public side-effect reporting system (1,115 reports, all brands). Reports are voluntary and are not proof the drug caused the effect.
