Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Temazepam
Temazepam falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Lime interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for Temazepam (Restoril). Your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear this sleep medicine. Some lab and animal studies suggest that compounds in lime juice can slow that enzyme down. If that happened in people, temazepam could hang around a little longer, which might mean more next-day grogginess, drowsiness, dizziness, or feeling unsteady on your feet.
I want to keep this in perspective, though. The evidence is weak and comes from rat studies using high doses of lime juice, not real-world human use. A squeeze of lime in your water or food is very unlikely to cause a problem. If you're thinking about concentrated lime supplements or oils, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Temazepam
This page covers Lime only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Temazepam page lists 197 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: 1,4-butanediol (major), Activated Charcoal (major), Beer (major), Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (ghb) (major) and Grapefruit (major).
By severity: 9 major · 150 moderate · 38 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Temazepam page
“Alcohol is the interaction I would flag first for anyone taking temazepam (Restoril), a benzodiazepine sleep medicine. Beer and wine both carry major ratings because they layer their own sedation on top of a drug that already depresses the nervous system, and that additive drowsiness runs through 78 of the 197 supplements on file.”

About Lime
What is Lime?
- Source of vitamin C
- Digestive upset
- Skin care
- Mood and aromatherapy
- Flavoring and food preservation
Lime is a common citrus fruit and a good natural source of vitamin C and plant antioxidants. As a food it is generally safe and enjoyed by most people, but evidence that lime treats any specific health condition is limited. Use the essential oil with care, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated lime products for health reasons.
About Temazepam
What Is Temazepam Used For?
Brand names: Restoril, Apo-Temazepam, Dom-Temazepam, Gen-Temazepam, Novo-Temazepam, Temazepam Gelthix
Temazepam capsules — sold as Restoril and under the generic name Temazepam — are indicated for the short-term treatment of insomnia, generally 7 to 10 days. They help people fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.
This medication is intended for short periods only. If sleep trouble doesn't improve within 7 to 10 days, that may signal an underlying medical or psychiatric condition that needs its own evaluation.
