HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Mipomersen Sodium
Mipomersen Sodium falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Manchurian Thorn interacts with.
Some of these drugs include acarbose (Precose, Prandase), amiodarone (Cordarone), atorvastatin (Lipitor), azathioprine (Imuran), carbamazepine (Tegretol), cerivastatin (Baycol), diclofenac (Voltaren), felbamate (Felbatol), fenofibrate (Tricor), fluvastatin (Lescol), gemfibrozil (Lopid), isoniazid, itraconazole, (Sporanox), ketoconazole (Nizoral), leflunomide (Arava), lovastatin (Mevacor), methotrexate (Rheumatrex), nevirapine (Viramune), niacin, nitrofurantoin (Macrodantin), pioglitazone (Actos), pravastatin (Pravachol), pyrazinamide, rifampin (Rifadin), ritonavir (Norvir), rosiglitazone (Avandia), simvastatin (Zocor), tacrine (Cognex), tamoxifen, terbinafine (Lamisil), valproic acid, and zileuton (Zyflo).
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know about mipomersen (Kynamro): it can be tough on your liver. In fact, it already carries a warning about raising liver enzymes and building up fat in the liver, which is why people on it get regular blood tests to check liver function. Manchurian Thorn enters the picture because animal studies hint that high doses might also stress the liver. Stack two things that both lean on the liver, and at least in theory you could add to that strain.
I'll be honest, this concern is theoretical and comes from animal data, not human studies, so it's not a proven problem. Still, since mipomersen liver risk is real and closely monitored, I'd skip the supplement unless your doctor or pharmacist okays it. Watch for yellowing skin, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness, and report those right away.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Mipomersen Sodium page
“Kynamro (mipomersen sodium) treats a severe inherited cholesterol disorder, and it already carries a serious warning about liver injury on its own. About Mipomersen Injection
What Is Mipomersen Injection Used For?
Brand name: Kynamro
-
Mipomersen injection is used to decrease levels of cholesterol and other fatty substances in the blood in people who have homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH; a rare inherited condition that causes very high levels of cholesterol in the blood, increasing the risk of serious heart disease). Some people with HoFH may be treated with LDL apheresis (a procedure that removes LDL from the blood), but mipomersen injection should not be used along with this treatment. Mipomersen injection should not be used to decrease cholesterol levels in people who do not have HoFH. Mipomersen injection is in a class of medications called antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) inhibitors. It works by preventing certain fatty substances from forming in the body.
