Here's the thing to keep in mind with this combo. The ibuprofen part of Dristan is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID), and on its own it can make your blood a little slower to clot. Maritime pine bark has been shown in some studies to make platelets (the cells that help you form clots) a bit less sticky too. Stacking the two could, in theory, nudge your bleeding risk up a touch.

In real life this might look like easier bruising, a nosebleed, or a stomach upset that lingers. That said, this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds behave, not proven harm in people. If you take ibuprofen often or have a history of ulcers or bleeding, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
