Here's the gist with Fetzima (levomilnacipran) and marshmallow root. Marshmallow is full of mucilage, a slippery fiber gel that can, in theory, coat your stomach and gut and grab onto a pill before it fully absorbs. If that happens, a bit less of your antidepressant might get into your bloodstream, which could mean it works less reliably for your mood.

I want to be honest though: this concern is theoretical, based on how the fiber behaves, not on real cases with this specific drug. The simple fix is timing. Take your levomilnacipran first, then wait 30 to 60 minutes before your marshmallow. If you'd like, run it by your pharmacist or doctor to be sure.
