Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Terazosin
Terazosin falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Olive Oil interacts with.
Some clinical and observational research suggests that adding olive oil into the diet, especially in place of saturated fat, is associated with reduced blood pressure.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: terazosin already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels, and olive oil, when it's a regular part of your diet, may nudge your blood pressure down a little too. Put together, those effects can add up. This isn't olive oil messing with how terazosin is broken down. It's just two things that both lean in the same direction.
For most people the food amount of olive oil on a salad or in cooking is gentle and nothing to worry about. The thing to watch is feeling dizzy, lightheaded, or faint, especially when you stand up quickly, which terazosin can already cause. If you're using concentrated olive oil supplements or notice those symptoms, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

About Olive Oil
What is Olive Oil?
- Heart health
- Cholesterol support
- General nutrition (Mediterranean diet)
- Skin and hair care
- Mild constipation
- Anti-inflammatory support
Olive oil, especially extra virgin olive oil, is a healthy fat that forms a cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet and is linked with better heart health. Used as part of a balanced diet it is generally safe for most people, but it is calorie-dense, so portion size matters. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated supplements.
About Terazosin
What Is Terazosin Used For?
Brand names: Hytrin, Terazosin
Terazosin capsules and Tezruly oral solution are both used to relieve the urinary symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — the enlarged prostate condition that causes trouble urinating — in adult males. They are also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either alone or combined with other blood pressure medicines.
Lowering blood pressure with terazosin reduces the risk of serious cardiovascular events, including strokes and heart attacks. Tezruly (the oral solution) may be used alone or alongside other antihypertensive agents for hypertension.

Terazosin Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Terazosin as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Olive Oil — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
