Mobocertinib Succinate falls under QT INTERVAL-PROLONGING DRUGS — the group Panax Ginseng interacts with.
Clinical research shows that short-term use of Panax ginseng can increase the QT interval. However, no changes in QT interval have been identified with prolonged use.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with pairing Panax ginseng and mobocertinib (Exkivity). Mobocertinib already has a known effect on your heart's electrical timing, called QT prolongation. In plain terms, it can make your heartbeat take a little longer to reset, and in rare cases that can trigger a dangerous irregular rhythm. Some short-term studies suggest ginseng may nudge the QT interval in the same direction, so stacking the two could theoretically add up.
That said, the evidence on ginseng is mixed and far from settled, and longer-term use didn't show this change. Still, because mobocertinib carries a real heart-rhythm warning, I'd treat this seriously. Watch for fainting, dizziness, or a fluttering heartbeat, and please check with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding ginseng.

CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
2 of 2Mobocertinib Succinate also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES.
Panax ginseng may affect the clearance of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4. One such drug is imatinib. Inhibition of CYP3A4 was believed to be responsible for a case of imatinib-induced hepatotoxicity. In contrast, Panax ginseng has been shown to increase the clearance of midazolam, another drug metabolized by CYP3A4. Clinical research shows that Panax ginseng can reduce midazolam area under the curve by 44%, maximum plasma concentration by 26%, and time to reach maximum plasma concentration by 29%. Midazolam metabolism was also increased in animals given Panax ginseng. Until more is known, use Panax ginseng cautiously in combination with CYP3A4 substrates.

Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to break down mobocertinib (Exkivity). Panax ginseng can tug on that same enzyme, and here's the tricky part: studies have pointed both ways. With some medicines ginseng slowed CYP3A4 (which would let mobocertinib build up), and with others it sped the enzyme up (which would clear the drug faster). So we can't reliably predict which direction it would go for your cancer medicine.
Why this matters: if levels climb, you could see more diarrhea, nausea, mouth sores, or heart-rhythm changes (QT prolongation), which mobocertinib is known for. If levels drop, the medicine may not control the cancer as well. This is mostly theoretical, but with a serious cancer drug I wouldn't gamble. Please run it by your oncologist or pharmacist before combining the two.

Mobocertinib is used to treat a certain type of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that cannot be removed by surgery and has spread to other parts of the body either during or after treatment with platinum chemotherapy medications. Mobocertinib is in a class of medications called kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps stop or slow the spread of cancer cells and may help shrink tumors.
