We found no known interaction between Raw Food Diet and Amphetamine in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Raw Food Diet and Amphetamine
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Amphetamine and Raw Food Diet in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Raw Food Diet alongside specific medications may be limited.
Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Raw Food Diet at all — not against Amphetamine, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.
Raw Food Diet is an eating pattern rather than something you take. Ask your pharmacist or doctor before changing how you eat while on a prescribed medicine: some medicines are dosed around meals, and a change in diet can change how they work. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

What Amphetamine Is Prescribed For, and What Raw Food Diet Has Been Studied For
These two come up together because they touch the same health topic — not because they do the same job. Amphetamine is a prescription medicine with approved uses on its FDA label. Raw Food Diet is an eating pattern: what follows is what researchers have looked at it for, and how strong that evidence is.
Amphetamine is prescribed for: Amphetamine treats Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in patients 6 years and older. Adzenys XR-ODT, Dyanavel XR, and the amphetamine extended-release orally disintegrating tablet formulations are specifically approved for ADHD in this age group. Amphetamine Sulfate tablets and Evekeo (amphetamine sulfate tablets) are also approved for narcolepsy (a sleep disorder causing uncontrollable daytime sleepiness) and as a short-term aid in a calorie-restricted weight-loss program for exogenous obesity (weight gain from external factors like overeating) in patients who have not responded to other approaches.
Raw Food Diet has been studied for:
-
Obesity studied, not established Raw Food Diet has been studied for this. Natural Medicines rates the evidence: Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate Read what the research shows
Raw Food Diet for obesity
Although the raw food diet is sometimes recommended for the management of obesity, it has only been evaluated in normal weight adults. In a small clinical study in adults with hypertension, following a 40% raw food diet reduced diastolic blood pressure and resulted in an average 3.8 kg weight loss when compared to baseline. The validity of these findings is limited by the lack of a comparator group.

Effectiveness ratings and the research summaries above are the verbatim record from the Natural Medicines database, which grades evidence from “Effective” down to “Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate”. A rating below the top of that scale means researchers have looked at it — not that it works, and never that it can stand in for a prescribed medicine. Do not stop or replace Amphetamine on your own; if you are taking Raw Food Diet for the same health topic, tell your prescriber, especially if the medicine is being adjusted to a target.

“Amphetamine (Dyanavel XR, Adzenys ER, Mydayis) is a prescription stimulant, usually taken for ADHD, and its interaction list is one to approach with genuine care. Of the 130 supplements and herbal ingredients on file, 16 carry a major rating, and many of those work the same way, either inhibiting monoamine oxidase, as yohimbe does, or…”

About Raw Food Diet
What is Raw Food Diet?
- Weight loss
- Improving digestion
- Increasing fruit and vegetable intake
- General wellness and detox
- Lowering cholesterol
A raw food diet emphasizes uncooked, unprocessed plant foods (and sometimes raw animal products) based on the idea that cooking destroys nutrients and enzymes. It can boost intake of fruits and vegetables and help with weight loss, but it carries real risks of nutrient deficiencies and foodborne illness. Talk with a doctor or dietitian before trying it, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a health condition.
Whole eating pattern based on uncooked or minimally heated plant foods, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and sprouted grains
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Raw Food Diet is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Raw Food Diet record says about it on its own.
Raw Food Diet: dosing
Because a raw food diet is an eating pattern and not a pill, there is no standardized 'dose.' Plans vary widely—some people eat 100% raw, while others aim for 75% or 50% raw and cook the rest.If you want to try it, a safer approach is to add more raw fruits and vegetables to your meals rather than switching to fully raw all at once. Working with a registered dietitian helps you plan for protein, vitamin B12, vitamin D, calcium, iron, and omega-3 fats, and may include supplements to fill gaps.
