Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Rezafungin
Rezafungin falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Siberian Cocklebur interacts with.
Well-controlled human studies have demonstrated the likely existence of this interaction.
Here's the concern with pairing these two: Siberian cocklebur has been tied to real liver injury in people, including some cases of liver failure. That's not a lab curiosity, there are actual reports behind it. Rezafungin (Rezzayo) can also stress the liver, since some patients on it show elevated liver enzymes. Stacking two things that both burden the liver may raise your risk of liver damage.
Watch for signs like yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, belly pain on the upper right side, nausea, or unusual tiredness. Since Rezafungin is given for a serious bloodstream fungal infection in a hospital or supervised setting, please tell your care team before adding any herbal product. Honestly, given cocklebur's known toxicity, I'd steer clear of it here unless your doctor says otherwise.
