Tai Chi and Valbenazine Tosylate

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Valbenazine Tosylate and Tai Chi in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Tai Chi alongside specific medications may be limited.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Tai Chi at all — not against Valbenazine Tosylate, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

Tai Chi is a practice rather than something you take. Ask your care team whether the type and intensity you plan to practice are appropriate for your health and treatment. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

From the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of the FDA label for Valbenazine Tosylate. Read the label on DailyMed › Where a percentage is shown, it is the share of 24,614 voluntary FDA FAERS reports for Valbenazine Tosylate that mention that effect — a reporting proportion, not an incidence rate and not evidence the drug caused it. Tai Chi’s licensed record lists no adverse effects our clinical vocabulary could match, so there is no Tai Chi side to compare — that is a limit of the record, not a statement that Tai Chi has no side effects.

About Tai Chi

What is Tai Chi?

  • Balance and fall prevention
  • Stress and relaxation
  • Joint pain and arthritis
  • Heart and lung health
  • Better sleep
  • General fitness and flexibility

Tai Chi is a gentle, low-impact mind-body exercise that combines slow flowing movements, breathing, and focused attention. Research suggests it can improve balance, reduce falls, ease some chronic pain, and lower stress, and it is safe for most people. It is a practice, not a pill, so there are no doses or supplement risks to worry about.

Not applicable (mind-body movement practice) · Group classes, one-on-one instruction, video-guided sessions

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Tai Chi is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Tai Chi record says about it on its own.

Tai Chi: dosing

There is no "dose" for Tai Chi the way there is for a supplement. Many beginner programs involve sessions of about 30 to 60 minutes, done a few times a week, and benefits tend to grow with regular practice over weeks to months. The best approach is to follow your class or instructor's guidance and build up gradually at a pace that feels comfortable.
