Turpentine Oil + Lifitegrast
Lifitegrast brand name: Xiidra.
Turpentine Oil has a moderate interaction with Lifitegrast. Some in vitro research shows that alpha-pinene, the major constituent of turpentine oil, does not increase the absorption of chlorpromazine or haloperidol when applied topically.

TOPICAL DRUGS
Why this applies to Lifitegrast
Lifitegrast falls under TOPICAL DRUGS — the group Turpentine Oil interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing about this one: lifitegrast (Xiidra) is an eye drop you put right onto the surface of your eye, while turpentine oil is something you'd rub on your skin. The two really don't cross paths. The interaction on file comes from lab and animal studies suggesting turpentine oil can help other medicines soak through the skin a little better. That mechanism just doesn't apply to a drop you place in your eye.
So in practice, I wouldn't expect turpentine oil to change how Xiidra works or to worsen its usual effects like brief eye irritation, a strange taste, or blurry vision. The evidence here is weak and theoretical. Still, never get turpentine oil near your eyes, and check with your pharmacist if you're unsure.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Lifitegrast page
“Lifitegrast (Xiidra) is an eye drop for dry eye disease, and its supplement list is unusually short: three topical ingredients, two rated moderate and one minor, with no majors at all. Xiidra works fine for most people alongside these products; the value here is knowing which combinations deserve a closer look.”

What is Turpentine Oil?
- Muscle and joint aches (topical)

Turpentine oil is a strong-smelling pine resin product used mostly in tiny amounts in topical rubs for muscle aches and congestion.
