Here's the thing about this pairing: Xiidra (lifitegrast) is an eye drop you place right into your eye, while DMSO is mostly used on the skin. DMSO's claim to fame is that it helps push other substances across membranes, so the worry on file is that it could increase how much of a topical medicine gets absorbed. In theory, if the two ever touched the same area, DMSO might drive a bit more lifitegrast into the tissue, which could mean stronger local irritation, a temporary odd taste in the mouth, blurred vision, or more eye redness and stinging.

In real life, people rarely apply DMSO anywhere near their eyes, so this overlap is unlikely. Still, the evidence here is mostly from skin studies, not eye drops. I'd just run it by your pharmacist or eye doctor before combining them.
