Yoga + Dextroamphetamine
Dextroamphetamine brand name: Dexedrine.
We found no known interaction between Yoga and Dextroamphetamine in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Yoga and Dextroamphetamine
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Dextroamphetamine and Yoga in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Yoga alongside specific medications may be limited.
Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Yoga at all — not against Dextroamphetamine, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.
Yoga is a practice rather than something you take. Ask your care team whether the type and intensity you plan to practice are appropriate for your health and treatment. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.
Yoga safety at a glance
Pregnancy & breastfeeding ratings are from Natural Medicines (Therapeutic Research Center) — the full detail is in the Special populations card below. Safety guidance is general; always confirm with your pharmacist or doctor for your situation.
Yoga in Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
When used appropriately. Some clinical research shows that yoga during pregnancy does not adversely affect birth outcomes. However, some aggressive forms of yoga exercises might not be safe to use during pregnancy.

Questions About Yoga or Dextroamphetamine
These are real questions from readers, answered by the pharmacists at HelloPharmacist — written by a person, not generated from a database. Each one covers Yoga or Dextroamphetamine, not necessarily both, but if one is close to what you were about to ask it will usually go further than a database entry can:
- Is L-Theanine Safe To Take With Dexedrine? ›
- Converting Dexedrine To Other Stimulants ›
- Taking Concerta And Vyvanse Together ›
Not quite your question? Ask our pharmacists directly — it is free, there is no account required, and answers usually come back within 24 hours.
See Every Supplement That Interacts With Dextroamphetamine
This page covers Yoga only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Dextroamphetamine page lists 129 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), Ephedra (major), Lithium (major), Peyote (major) and Rauvolfia Vomitoria (major).
By severity: 6 major · 100 moderate · 23 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dextroamphetamine page
“Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) is a stimulant for ADHD and narcolepsy, and I read this list with genuine wariness. Six of the 129 ingredients rate major, most of them because other stimulants, ephedra being the clearest, pile extra heart rate and blood pressure on top of what the drug already produces.”

Where Yoga and Dextroamphetamine Sit Against Everything Else
Out of every supplement and medication people look up on HelloPharmacist, here is where these two land this week — and which way each has been moving.
#1,263 of 1,452 supplements looked up here in the last 7 days
#30 of 2,830 medications looked up here in the last 7 days
Position among everything looked up on this site, not a measure of how commonly either one is used or how important it is. A supplement can climb this list because of a news story. It counts every request to the page, automated ones included, and nothing here identifies anyone.
Where does our data come from?
- Source: the Natural Medicines (TRC Healthcare) clinical database — the evidence-graded professional reference for herb & supplement interactions.
- Citation library: 103,510 references behind our interaction content, 65,311 of them resolved to verified PubMed/DOI sources. See every Yoga reference on this page ↓
- Freshness: we automatically re-check this combination every week — this pair was last verified September 13, 2026. The Yoga and Dextroamphetamine records this page draws on were last updated July 10, 2026.
- What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.
About Yoga
What is Yoga?
- Stress and anxiety
- Low back pain
- Flexibility and balance
- Sleep problems
- Depression and mood
- General wellness and fitness
Yoga is a mind-body practice combining physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation, not a dietary supplement or herb. Research suggests it may help with stress, back pain, mood, and overall well-being, and it is generally safe for most people when practiced carefully. Beginners and those with health conditions should start gently and talk to a doctor before beginning.
Not applicable (mind-body practice) · Hatha yoga, Vinyasa, Iyengar, restorative yoga, breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation classes, online videos, group or private sessions
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Yoga is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Yoga record says about it on its own.
Yoga: dosing
There is no standard "dose" for yoga the way there is for a supplement. Benefits often come from regular, ongoing practice rather than a single session. Many studies use sessions lasting from about 30 to 90 minutes, practiced once or several times per week. A good approach is to start with shorter, gentler sessions and gradually build up as your comfort and ability improve. If you are new to yoga or have a health condition, consider working with a qualified instructor and checking with your doctor or pharmacist to make sure your chosen style is appropriate for you.

About Dextroamphetamine
What Is Dextroamphetamine Used For?
Brand name: Dexedrine
Dextroamphetamine treats two conditions: ADHD and narcolepsy (a sleep disorder causing uncontrollable daytime sleepiness). It is available in multiple forms — tablets, extended-release capsules, oral solution, and a skin patch — and the approved age ranges vary by product.
Oral tablets (Zenzedi, generic) and oral solutions (Procentra, generic) are approved for ADHD in children as young as 3 years old and for narcolepsy. Extended-release capsules (Dexedrine, generic) are approved for ADHD in children ages 6 to 16 and for narcolepsy. Xelstrym, the transdermal patch, is approved only for ADHD — in adults and children ages 6 and older — and is not indicated for narcolepsy.
