Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: certified organic Black Radish extract. It's a liquid formula made with vegetable palm glycerin, pharmaceutical-grade alcohol, and artesian Hawaiian purified water as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The data we hold rates Black Radish as having insufficient reliable evidence for both biliary disorders and diabetes. That means the evidence isn't established well enough yet to make a clear claim about how well it works for these uses.
More human research is needed.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Radish is widely eaten as food and is generally well tolerated in normal dietary amounts. Concentrated supplements are less studied, so we know less about their safety profile.
Unwashed raw sprouts should be avoided. In rare cases, people have reported allergy symptoms like throat tightness and hives from radish.
Large amounts may cause mild stomach irritation or indigestion, though it's not always clear if that's from the radish alone or another factor.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take antidiabetes drugs — medications that lower blood sugar — check them against this product before starting. The radish extract could raise your risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
Your doctor or pharmacist can advise on whether it's safe to combine and what to watch for.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Black Radish extract is a single-ingredient supplement that people use for various reasons, though the evidence for its effectiveness isn't well established yet. The main caution is if you take diabetes medication — low blood sugar becomes a possibility.
