What’s inside
Full disclosure
Blueberry Powder is a single-ingredient product: blueberry fruit in powder form. There are no inactive ingredients listed.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for blueberry's effectiveness is limited. It's rated Possibly Ineffective for high blood pressure — meaning the research does not support it for that use.
For age-related cognitive decline, anxiety, athletic performance, high cholesterol, and heart disease, there is Insufficient Reliable Evidence to say whether it works or not.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Blueberries as a food are generally well tolerated and widely eaten. The data advises that concentrated supplements — especially freeze-dried blueberries — have not been well studied in pregnancy, so there isn't enough data to know either way; talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether to use it if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
Freeze-dried blueberries may cause constipation, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting. In one trial, a meaningful number of people taking 50 grams daily stopped due to stomach upset in the first week.
Meds to double-check
Minor interactions only
Double-check this product with your doctor or pharmacist before taking it if you're on antidiabetes drugs (blood sugar medications), flurbiprofen or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, buspirone, or any other prescription — blueberry may theoretically slow how your body clears them or affect how they work.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Only minor medication interactions are documented, and safety information is well characterized.
Blueberry Powder is generally well tolerated as food, but concentrated supplements are less studied. If you take blood sugar medications, anti-inflammatory drugs, buspirone, or other prescriptions, check your exact medications with the tool below before you start.

Blueberry Powder by BulkSupplements.com Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Blueberry Powder by BulkSupplements.com has documented interactions with blood sugar medications and a small number of other drugs.
The main concern is with antidiabetes drugs (medications that lower blood sugar): blueberry may theoretically increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) when taken together, since animal and lab research suggests blueberry can lower blood glucose levels on its own.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Blueberry also has Minor interactions with flurbiprofen (an anti-inflammatory), buspirone (an anti-anxiety medication), and possibly other drugs that are metabolized by your liver. Lab work shows blueberry juice can slow how your body breaks down these drugs, which could raise their levels in your blood — though human studies on blueberry juice specifically have been mixed.
Altogether, these interactions span 88 individual medications. If you take any blood sugar medication, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, buspirone, or any other prescription, use the interaction checker below to see your exact drugs before starting this product.

Blueberry, Powder
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, blueberries or blueberry leaf extracts might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal and in vitro research suggests that blueberry and/or blueberry leaf extracts can lower blood glucose levels.
Buspirone (Buspar)
Theoretically, blueberry juice might increase blood levels of buspirone.
In vitro research shows that blueberry juice can inhibit the metabolism of buspirone, possibly by inhibiting cytochrome P450 3A (CYP3A) enzymes. However, pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that drinking 300 mL of blueberry juice 30 minutes before taking buspirone hydrochloride 10 mg does not significantly affect the concentration or clearance of buspirone.
Flurbiprofen (Ansaid, Others)
Theoretically, blueberry juice might increase blood levels of flurbiprofen.
In vitro research shows that blueberry juice can inhibit the metabolism of flurbiprofen, possibly by inhibiting cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) enzymes. However, pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that drinking 300 mL of blueberry juice 30 minutes before taking flurbiprofen 100 mg does not significantly affect the concentration or clearance of flurbiprofen.
