- Burdock Root (Arctium lappa) is a biennial herb native to Europe and Asia. It is a popular herb in traditional folk medicine, and is still consumed in Japan as a vegetable called "gobo". It is rich in vitamin B-6, calcium, chlorogenic acid, flavonoids, iron, inulin, lactone, mucilage, polyacetylenes, potassium, resin, tannin, and taraxosterol. Burdock root is commony used in combination with Red Clover, Yellow Dock and Dandelion. Certain research publications indicate that it may help support the following:
