Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Burdock interacts with.

Theoretically, taking burdock with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bleeding.

In vitro research shows that lignans from burdock reduce rabbit platelet aggregation by inhibiting platelet activating factor. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

This combination pill (Damason-P) contains aspirin, and aspirin is the piece that matters here. Aspirin already thins your blood a bit by keeping platelets from clumping together. Burdock contains plant compounds called lignans that, in early lab work, also seemed to slow platelets down. Put the two together and, in theory, you could bleed or bruise a little more easily.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It comes from a test-tube study using rabbit platelets, and nothing like it has been reported in real people. Eating burdock as a vegetable is unlikely to cause trouble; concentrated supplements are the bigger question mark. Watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach upset, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding a burdock supplement.
