How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Betaine hydrochloride carries real caution. It may irritate your stomach and is not safe if you have ulcers, gastritis, or acid reflux — the added acid can make those conditions worse or slow healing.
It may also cause heartburn. Do not use this ingredient during pregnancy; there isn't enough safety data.
Avoid it while breastfeeding as well. Choline bitartrate is generally well tolerated in normal amounts, but high doses over the tolerable upper limit of 3.5 grams daily can cause side effects.
At very high doses (9 grams or more), people have reported diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, sweating, and a fishy body odor from how your gut breaks it down. While choline is important in pregnancy and breastfeeding, use only the dose your doctor or midwife recommends, not arbitrary supplement amounts.

Formula
Choline Bitartrate allows the body to manufacture the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which assists in bladder, kidney, pancreatic, testicular, and liver functions. It also aids in hormone production and has been shown to help boost the libido. Roex has added Betaine HCl to help increase the secretion of HCl from the stomach's parietal cells, which is critical for proper digestion of proteins and the emulsification of fats.

Theoretically, choline might decrease the effects of atropine in the brain.
Animal research shows that administering choline one hour before administering atropine can attenuate atropine-induced decreases in brain levels of acetylcholine. Theoretically, concomitant use of choline and atropine may decrease the effects of atropine.
