What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: certified organic dill extract. Dill has been used traditionally in herbal medicine, though the evidence for most of its claimed benefits is limited.
The liquid also contains vegetable palm glycerin, pharmaceutical-grade alcohol, and purified water as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence on dill extract for the uses listed — aging skin, high cholesterol, labor pain, and period cramps — is insufficient to rate. The data we hold doesn't establish that it works for any of these conditions.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Dill used in food amounts is generally well tolerated. When taken as a concentrated supplement or extract like this one, the safety evidence is thin — medicinal doses haven't been well studied.
Some people are allergic to dill; symptoms can range from itching and rash to severe reactions like anaphylaxis. If you use it topically, be aware that fresh dill juice can cause sun sensitivity (photodermatosis) and contact dermatitis.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check with your pharmacist if you take antidiabetes drugs (like glimepiride or glyburide) — there's a Moderate risk of low blood sugar. Also double-check if you take lithium for bipolar disorder, as dill may raise lithium levels (Moderate severity).
Altogether, these interactions span 86 individual medications.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This dill extract may interest people looking for a traditional herbal supplement, but the evidence for what it actually does is lacking. If you take antidiabetes drugs or lithium, talk with your pharmacist or doctor before starting it.
Allergies are possible, so watch for any skin or breathing changes.

Dill Seed by Hawaii Pharm Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Hawaii Pharm's Dill Seed extract does interact with medications.
The most serious concern is with antidiabetes drugs — dill can lower blood sugar on its own, so combining it with diabetes medications like glimepiride or glyburide might push your blood sugar too low (hypoglycemia). Animal studies back this up.
You'll need to watch your blood glucose closely, and your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Dill also interacts with lithium, a medication for bipolar disorder. Dill's diuretic properties (it helps your body shed water) can affect how your kidneys handle lithium, potentially letting it build up in your system.
Your lithium dose might need to come down.
Additionally, dill extract has documented interactions affecting these drug categories. Check your exact medications with the search tool on this page before you start.

Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, dill extract might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Animal research shows that dill extract can reduce blood sugar levels. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.
Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.
Lithium
Dill is thought to have diuretic properties. Theoretically, due to these potential diuretic effects, dill might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium. The dose of lithium might need to be decreased.
