Does it work?
Moderate evidence
L-Tyrosine is effective for phenylketonuria (PKU), a genetic condition in which the body cannot break down the amino acid phenylalanine. It is possibly effective for cognitive function and memory.
For athletic performance, the evidence suggests it's possibly ineffective. For alcohol use disorder and dementia, there isn't enough reliable evidence in our data to rate how well it works.
How safe is it?

L-Tyrosine is generally well tolerated in healthy adults when taken as directed, though you should talk with your healthcare provider before starting regular use. The most common side effects reported are fatigue, headache, heartburn, and nausea — especially at higher doses.
There isn't enough safety data on supplemental doses in pregnancy or while breastfeeding, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether it's right for you in those situations.

Formula
L-tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid precursor to adrenaline, norepinepherine, dopamine, L-dopa, and involved in the production of thyroid hormone. Free form amino acid, high purity, well tolerated.
Suggested/Recommended/Usage/Directions
Suggested Use As a dietary supplement, 1 capsule one to three times daily between meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

L-Tyrosine
Levodopa
Theoretically, tyrosine might decrease the effectiveness of levodopa.
Tyrosine and levodopa compete for absorption in the proximal duodenum by the large neutral amino acid (LNAA) transport system. Advise patients to separate doses of tyrosine and levodopa by at least 2 hours.
Thyroid Hormone
Theoretically, tyrosine might have additive effects with thyroid hormone medications.
Tyrosine is a precursor to thyroxine and might increase levels of thyroid hormones.
