What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Lady's Mantle against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

What’s inside
Full disclosure
This liquid contains one active ingredient: Lady's Mantle Herb Extract, Dry. Lady's Mantle is a plant extract traditionally used for various purposes, though the evidence supporting its effectiveness is limited.
The product also contains alcohol, water, and glycerin as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for Lady's Mantle isn't established in our data. The product is sometimes used for postoperative sore throat and canker sores, but we hold insufficient reliable evidence to rate how well it works for either condition.
If you're considering it for one of these uses, it's worth discussing with your doctor or dentist whether it's the right choice for you.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
Lady's Mantle is generally considered low-risk in small amounts, but human safety data are limited — we simply don't have enough studies to be certain about long-term use. The safety data advise against using this product during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
If you're pregnant, nursing, or planning either, talk with your pharmacist or doctor before taking it.
Meds to double-check
Minor interactions only
Check any topical medications you use before starting this product, as a Minor interaction has been documented with topical drugs. Because the documented interaction involved mouth irritation from topical application, the relevance to oral use is unclear, but it's worth verifying with your pharmacist or doctor.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Only minor medication interactions are documented, and some safety-information gaps remain.
Lady's Mantle may be worth considering if you're looking for a traditional herbal remedy, but the evidence for what it actually does is thin. The main caution is a documented interaction with topical drugs involving mouth irritation.
If you take any medications — especially topical ones — or are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with us first.

Lady's Mantle by Hawaii Pharm Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Lady's Mantle Herb Extract by Hawaii Pharm interacts with topical drugs — those you apply to your skin, mouth, or other surfaces.
The interaction is Minor in severity. A clinical study of a topical Lady's Mantle product found that applying it inside the mouth caused local mouth irritation in some users.
Because this product is taken by mouth (not applied topically), that particular risk may not apply to you, but we're flagging the interaction category because the ingredient does interact with topical medications in that way.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Altogether, these interactions span 193 individual medications. Since the documented interaction involves topical application rather than oral use, the practical impact on oral medications remains unclear from the data we hold.

Topical Drugs
While no side effects have been reported from orally using Alchemilla, a clinical study titled "Treatment of Aphthous Stomatitis with Topical Alchemilla vulgaris in Glycerine," published in Clinical Drug Investigation (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17163290/), found that local mouth irritation occurred after applying a commercial product containing 3% alchemilla extract and glycerol (Aphtarine, Laboratoires Biosphere). Aphtarine was non-irritating in 68.2% of cases within 2-3 days, in 18.8% of cases within 4-7 days, and in 13.6% of cases with moderate irritation. Theoretically, combining Alchemilla with other potentially irritating topical products could increase the risk of local irritation and discomfort. The drug in this drug interaction monograph is available in a topical dosage form. There is no interaction expected from the oral dosage form of the drug.
