Mycrobiome Probiotic Weight Formula Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Solaray
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Mycrobiome Probiotic Weight Formula against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Mycrobiome Probiotic Weight Formula by Solaray
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This formula has 18 active probiotic ingredients — live bacterial strains designed to support your gut health. The two we have the most data on are Bifidobacterium longum and Lactobacillus acidophilus, both recognized probiotics.
The other 16 strains are proprietary blends. The inactive ingredients are potato starch, cellulose, oat fiber, gum arabic, sunflower lecithin, sunflower oil, and silica — standard capsule fillers and binders.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for these specific strains is mixed. Lactobacillus acidophilus shows possibly effective ratings for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
It's rated possibly ineffective for atopic disease (allergies and eczema). For Bifidobacterium longum, the evidence for age-related cognitive decline, hay fever, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, anxiety, asthma, and athletic performance is insufficient — we simply don't have enough reliable data.
Because we couldn't check the other 16 strains, their effectiveness for weight management or any other condition isn't documented in our data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Both checked strains are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. Gastrointestinal side effects — abdominal discomfort, pain, bloating, flatulence, diarrhea, and constipation — have been reported rarely with these probiotics.
A dry cough was reported once. However, there's a caution for seriously ill or immune-compromised people: rare cases of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus bacteremia and sepsis have been documented, mostly in critically ill infants and adults.
The product is rated possibly safe in pregnancy and lactation, though safety data are limited; check with your doctor or pharmacist before using it while breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take antibiotic drugs, separate the timing of this probiotic and your antibiotic by a few hours; antibiotics can reduce the effectiveness of the live cultures here. That's the only Moderate-severity interaction documented.
We couldn't check the other 16 probiotic strains in this formula for interactions with any medications.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This is a multi-strain probiotic aimed at weight support. If you take antibiotics, you'll want to time this product separately so the antibiotics don't kill the live cultures.
If you're seriously ill, immune-compromised, or pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor first. Most of the 16 other strains haven't been checked for interactions — search your medications on this page to be sure.

Mycrobiome Probiotic Weight Formula by Solaray Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Mycrobiome Probiotic Weight Formula by Solaray contains 18 ingredients, most of them proprietary probiotic strains we couldn't check for interactions.
However, two strains — Bifidobacterium longum and Lactobacillus acidophilus — do have documented interaction data. Both of these can interact with antibiotic drugs (Moderate severity), since antibiotics may kill the live organisms in the probiotic and reduce its effectiveness.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications. If you're on an antibiotic, the standard advice is to separate the timing — take your antibiotic and this probiotic at different times of day, ideally a few hours apart, so the antibiotic doesn't wipe out the probiotic cultures.
We hold no interaction data for the other 16 probiotic strains in this formula (B. animalis lactis VK2, B. longum infantis VPro53, B. breve VPro52, B. bifidum VPro51, L. rhamnosus VPro11, L. brevis VPro18, L. delbrueckii VPro315, L. plantarum VPro10, L. bulgaricus VPro12, Lc. lactis VPro42, E. faecium VPro21, Lc. cremoris VPro41, L. salivarius VPro15, L. gasseri VPro16, L. paracasei VPro224, and L. casei VK4), so we can't tell you whether they interact with other medications. Run your exact medications through the search tool on this page to check for interactions.
