Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Neuro PS 500 mg contains one active ingredient: phosphatidylserine (marketed here as Neuro-PS), a naturally occurring fat compound that is a building block of cell membranes, especially in the brain. Each softgel delivers 500 mg.
The capsule also contains inactive ingredients: gelatin, vegetable glycerine, natural caramel color, and food glaze — these are fillers and capsule materials that have no therapeutic role.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Phosphatidylserine is possibly effective for age-related cognitive decline and Alzheimer disease based on the evidence we hold. For athletic performance, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), general cognitive function, and dementia, the evidence isn't established — there's insufficient reliable data to say whether it works for those uses.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Phosphatidylserine is generally well tolerated in studies, though long-term safety hasn't been fully established. The most common side effects from oral use are flatulence, gastrointestinal upset, headache, insomnia, and nausea.
Insomnia is more likely at higher doses around 600 mg, and gastrointestinal upset can occur at lower doses of 200–300 mg per day. The safety data advises against use during pregnancy and breastfeeding — there isn't enough information to know whether it's safe, so avoidance is recommended.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Neuro PS 500 mg, double-check with your pharmacist if you're on anticholinergic drugs (Moderate interaction) or cholinergic drugs (Moderate interaction). These two groups affect how phosphatidylserine works and vice versa.
Use the medication checker on this page to look up your prescriptions.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Neuro PS 500 mg may be worth considering if you're dealing with age-related memory changes or Alzheimer disease and want a supplement with a reasonable safety profile. Anyone taking anticholinergic or cholinergic medications should check their exact drugs with your pharmacist before starting this product.
If you experience nausea, headache, or sleep trouble, those are known side effects — start with a lower dose if your doctor suggests it. Talk it over with your own doctor or pharmacist before adding this to your routine.

Neuro PS 500 mg by Foster Regal Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Neuro PS 500 mg by Foster Regal contains phosphatidylserine, which has documented interactions with two medication types.
The most serious concern is with anticholinergic drugs (medications that block acetylcholine activity) — phosphatidylserine may theoretically decrease how well these drugs work, since it's thought to raise acetylcholine levels in the body.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Phosphatidylserine also has a Moderate interaction with cholinergic drugs (medications that increase acetylcholine activity). Taking both together might cause additive cholinergic effects — meaning the combined action could be stronger than either one alone.
Altogether, these interactions span 219 individual medications. If you take any anticholinergic or cholinergic medication, use the interaction checker on this page to look up your exact drugs before starting this supplement.
