NR Longevity Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking NR Longevity against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
NR Longevity contains three active ingredients. Trans-resveratrol is a polyphenol compound derived from grapes and other plants, studied for potential cardiovascular and metabolic benefits.
Nicotinamide riboside chloride is a precursor to NAD+, a coenzyme involved in cellular energy and repair. Sulforaphane is an active compound from broccoli sprout concentrate, a plant extract.
The capsules also contain inactive ingredients including cellulose, plant fiber, rice bran extract, gum arabic, sunflower oil, and water as fillers and binders.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence backing these ingredients is mixed. Resveratrol is possibly effective for obesity and possibly effective for allergic rhinitis (hay fever), but possibly ineffective for cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol.
Nicotinamide riboside's effectiveness isn't well established—the data we hold shows insufficient evidence to rate it for age-related macular degeneration, Alzheimer's disease, athletic performance, fatty liver disease, and heart failure. Sulforaphane is possibly effective for prostate cancer and possibly ineffective for Helicobacter pylori infection; evidence is insufficient for allergic rhinitis, asthma, and general cancer prevention.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Resveratrol is generally well tolerated at typical supplement doses, though high doses may cause digestive upset like diarrhea and loose stools; long-term safety isn't fully known. Nicotinamide riboside appears well tolerated in short-term studies but also lacks long-term safety data; common side effects include bloating, muscle pain, nausea, itching, and changes in stool.
Sulforaphane from food is safe, but concentrated supplements are less studied; reported side effects include bowel discomfort, heartburn, and stomach upset. The safety data advises against resveratrol concentrated supplements during pregnancy, and against nicotinamide riboside use in pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient information.
Sulforaphane concentrated supplements have not been proven safe in pregnancy—stick to dietary amounts—and use caution while breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take NR Longevity, check with your pharmacist if you're on blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin or aspirin)—resveratrol may increase bleeding risk. Also flag any medications metabolized by CYP liver enzymes, including certain cancer drugs, immunosuppressants, and many others.
Blood pressure medications warrant a check too, as nicotinamide riboside may add to their effect.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product may help with obesity and hay fever (resveratrol), though it's not proven for heart health. The three active ingredients each carry potential interactions with medications, especially those metabolized by your liver or blood thinners.
If you take any prescription medications, antiplatelet drugs, or blood pressure medications, check them with the tool on this page before you start. Talk to your pharmacist if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or on any regular medications.

NR Longevity by Pure Encapsulations Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
NR Longevity by Pure Encapsulations contains three active ingredients, two of which have documented interactions with medications.
Resveratrol, the most concerning, may increase levels of drugs broken down by your liver's CYP enzymes (CYP2C19, CYP1A2, CYP3A4, and CYP2E1) through a process called enzyme inhibition. While these interactions have been studied in the lab, most haven't been confirmed in people—though one real-world study did show resveratrol boosting levels of a muscle relaxant by about 54%.
Resveratrol also has mild antiplatelet effects and may increase bleeding risk if you're on blood thinners (anticoagulants) or antiplatelet drugs like aspirin.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Nicotinamide riboside carries a minor interaction with blood pressure medications (antihypertensives), as it may theoretically lower your blood pressure further. Sulforaphane, derived from broccoli sprout concentrate, has theoretical Moderate interactions with three CYP enzyme systems (CYP1A2, CYP3A4, and CYP2E1 substrates), but these have not been reported in humans.
Altogether, these interactions span 946 individual medications.
Broccoli sprout concentrate itself was not checked; we hold no interaction data for it as a standalone ingredient. Check your exact medications with the search tool on this page before starting this product.

For each ingredient in NR Longevity with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Trans-Resveratrol
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Resveratrol may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Resveratrol seems to have antiplatelet effects.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP1A2 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates
Resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2E1.
In vitro research suggests that resveratrol inhibits CYP2E1 isoenzyme. Also, a pharmacokinetic study shows that taking resveratrol 500 mg daily for 10 days prior to taking a single dose of chlorzoxazone 250 mg increases the maximum concentration of chlorzoxazone by about 54%, the area under the curve of chlorzoxazone by about 72%, and the half-life of chlorzoxazone by about 35%. Chlorzoxazone is used as a probe drug for CYP2E1.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.
Broccoli Sprout, Whole Plant Concentrate
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of fresh broccoli daily for 6-12 days can increase CYP1A2 activity by 10% to 200%. Induction of CYP1A2 activity by broccoli is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
Cytochrome P450 2A6 (Cyp2A6) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2A6.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of broccoli daily for 6 days increases CYP2A6 activity by 135% to 550%. Induction of CYP2A6 activity is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
Nicotinamide Riboside Chloride
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, nicotinamide riboside may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs, potentially increasing the risk for hypotension.
One small clinical study suggests that nicotinamide riboside can modestly reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients. However, other clinical research did not find a reduction in blood pressure when compared with control.
