Phyto-Gen Mns-gen contains three active plant extracts. Rosemary young shoot extract is the first ingredient, traditionally used in herbal medicine.
Black currant bud extract and raspberry young shoot extract round out the formula. These are concentrated plant materials, not the whole fruits or herbs you'd find in food.
The product also contains purified water, ethanol (a preservative and extraction solvent), and glycerin as inactive ingredients.

Rosemary is possibly unsafe in pregnancy, especially in medicinal doses—food amounts are likely fine, but you should avoid large or concentrated doses during pregnancy. Breastfeeding data for raspberry is not established. Rare adverse effects include allergic skin reactions and occupational asthma from inhalation; mild diarrhea has been reported with black currant at higher doses.

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) young shoot extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, rosemary may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that rosemary inhibits platelet aggregation.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking rosemary with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal research shows that rosemary extract can decrease blood glucose levels in diabetic models. However, research in humans is conflicting. Although rosemary powder decreased blood glucose levels in healthy adults, no change in blood glucose levels was seen in adults with type 2 diabetes, most of whom were taking antidiabetes drugs.
Aspirin
Theoretically, rosemary might have additive effects with salicylate-containing drugs such as aspirin.
Rosemary is reported to contain salicylates.
Choline Magnesium Trisalicylate (Trilisate)
Theoretically, rosemary might have additive effects with salicylate-containing drugs such as choline magnesium trisalicylate.
Rosemary is reported to contain salicylate.
Salsalate (Disalcid)
Theoretically, rosemary might have additive effects with salicylate-containing drugs such as salsalate.
Rosemary is reported to contain salicylate.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, rosemary might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that rosemary induces CYP1A2 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Black Currant (Ribes nigrum) bud extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, black currant seed oil might increase the risk of bleeding if used in combination with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), a constituent of black currant seed oil, appears to have antiplatelet effects.
Phenothiazines
Theoretically, black currant seed oil might increase the risk of seizure in patients receiving phenothiazines.
Black currant seed oil contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). There is some concern that taking supplements containing GLA might cause seizures, or lower the seizure threshold, when taken with phenothiazines, although there is no evidence that black currant seed oil causes seizures. In one report, three patients with schizophrenia who had received phenothiazines developed EEG changes suggestive of temporal lobe epilepsy after starting treatment with GLA, although none experienced an actual seizure. In another report, two patients with schizophrenia who were stabilized on phenothiazines developed seizures when evening primrose 4 grams daily, which contains GLA, was added. One of these patients had a prior history of seizures.
Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) young shoot extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, taking red raspberry leaf with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bleeding.
In vitro research suggests that red raspberry leaf extract has antiplatelet activity and enhances the in vitro effects of the antiplatelet medication cangrelor. This interaction has not been reported in humans.
Insulin
Red raspberry leaf might reduce glucose levels in patients being treated with insulin.
In one case report, a 38-year-old patient with gestational diabetes, whose blood glucose was being controlled with medical nutrition therapy and insulin, developed hypoglycemia after consuming two servings of raspberry leaf tea daily for 3 days beginning at 32 weeks' gestation. The patient required an insulin dose reduction. The hypoglycemia was considered to be probably related to use of red raspberry leaf tea.
