For the probiotic strains with evidence: Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), H. pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis. Bifidobacterium bifidum is possibly effective for IBS and respiratory tract infections.
Bifidobacterium longum and Bacillus coagulans are possibly effective for IBS; Bacillus coagulans is also possibly effective for constipation. For the other probiotic strains, Red Raspberry, and fructo-oligosaccharides, the evidence we hold is insufficient to rate their effectiveness.
Most of the product's ingredients have not been established as effective for the conditions listed in our data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The probiotic strains in this product are generally well tolerated in healthy people, but caution is advised if you're seriously ill or have a weakened immune system—there are rare reports of bacterial infection (bacteremia or sepsis) in critically ill or immunocompromised patients using probiotics. Fructo-oligosaccharides commonly cause gas, bloating, abdominal pain, and flatulence, especially at higher doses or when you first start; these effects are usually mild and often improve.
Gastrointestinal side effects like bloating and flatulence have been reported with probiotic use generally, though not specifically confirmed for every strain. Red Raspberry is generally well tolerated but may cause diarrhea, gastrointestinal upset, or stomach pain in some people.

Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus delbrueckii with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. delbrueckii.
Lactobacillus delbrueckii preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. delbrueckii preparations by at least two hours.
Bifidobacterium bifidum
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium. bifidum with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. bifidum.
Since B. bifidum preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. bifidum preparations by at least 2 hours.
Bifidobacterium longum
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium longum with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. longum.
Since B. longum preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. longum preparations by at least 2 hours.

Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus gasseri with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. gasseri.
Lactobacillus gasseri preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. gasseri preparations by at least two hours.
Red Raspberry
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, taking red raspberry leaf with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bleeding.
In vitro research suggests that red raspberry leaf extract has antiplatelet activity and enhances the in vitro effects of the antiplatelet medication cangrelor. This interaction has not been reported in humans.
Insulin
Red raspberry leaf might reduce glucose levels in patients being treated with insulin.
In one case report, a 38-year-old patient with gestational diabetes, whose blood glucose was being controlled with medical nutrition therapy and insulin, developed hypoglycemia after consuming two servings of raspberry leaf tea daily for 3 days beginning at 32 weeks' gestation. The patient required an insulin dose reduction. The hypoglycemia was considered to be probably related to use of red raspberry leaf tea.
