What’s inside
Full disclosure
PS-100 contains one active ingredient: phosphatidylserine (marketed as Sharp-PS Green), a naturally occurring compound found in cell membranes. The softgel also contains inactive ingredients — medium chain triglyceride oil, gelatin, glycerin, polyglycitol syrup, and purified water — which serve as the capsule shell and delivery vehicle.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for phosphatidylserine is mixed. It's rated possibly effective for age-related cognitive decline and Alzheimer disease, meaning there's some supportive research but it's not conclusive.
For athletic performance, ADHD, general cognitive function, and dementia, the evidence isn't established enough to rate — we simply don't have reliable data to say whether it works for those uses.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Phosphatidylserine is generally well tolerated, though long-term safety hasn't been fully studied. The most common side effects are flatulence, gastrointestinal upset, headache, insomnia, and nausea.
Gastrointestinal upset can occur at doses of 200–300 mg per day, and insomnia is more likely at higher doses around 600 mg. During pregnancy, the safety data advises against use.
Safety while breastfeeding is unknown, so avoidance is recommended.

PS-100 100 mg by Metabolic Maintenance Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
PS-100 by Metabolic Maintenance contains phosphatidylserine, which does interact with certain medications.
The most serious concern is with anticholinergic drugs (Moderate severity) — medications that block a chemical messenger called acetylcholine. Phosphatidylserine is thought to increase acetylcholine levels, which could theoretically interfere with how these drugs work and reduce their effectiveness.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Phosphatidylserine also has a Moderate interaction with cholinergic drugs — medications that work by increasing acetylcholine activity. Because phosphatidylserine itself raises acetylcholine levels, using it with these drugs could lead to additive effects, meaning the combined action could be stronger than intended.
Altogether, these interactions span 218 individual medications. If you take any anticholinergic or cholinergic medications, please use the interaction checker on this page to look up your exact drugs before starting this supplement.
