Pure Joint Support Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Pure Joint Support against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Pure Joint Support by Shape by HIT Nutrition
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Pure Joint Support contains five active ingredients. Hesperidin is a plant compound (flavonoid); high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in joint fluid that may support tissue hydration and lubrication.
The product also includes polysaccharides, collagen, and xanthohumol — each playing a role in joint support — as well as two proprietary blends that house additional components. The capsule also contains inactive ingredients: HPMC (capsule material), rice flour, ascorbyl palmitate, and silica.
Does it work?
Not established
The effectiveness data we hold applies to hesperidin. For weight loss (obesity), hesperidin is rated possibly ineffective.
For cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia), it's also rated possibly ineffective. For fatty liver disease, evidence isn't reliable enough to rate it.
Hyaluronic acid is rated possibly effective for dry eye and venous leg ulcers. For aging skin, hay fever, and sexual dysfunction, the evidence is insufficient to rate it.
We hold no effectiveness ratings for polysaccharides, collagen, or xanthohumol.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Hesperidin is generally well tolerated in food amounts and short-term supplement use, though long-term data is limited. A rare case of allergic skin rash was reported in one older adult after topical application.
The safety data advises against hesperidin during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Hyaluronic acid appears well tolerated when taken orally or applied topically in most adults, but long-term safety of oral supplements isn't fully studied.
Safety data advises caution and suggests avoiding oral supplements unless your doctor clears it. Topically, it may cause itching, redness, eczema, or wound infection in some people.
No pregnancy or breastfeeding safety information is on file for hyaluronic acid. We hold no safety data for polysaccharides, collagen, or xanthohumol.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check hesperidin's interactions if you take any CNS depressants (sleeping pills, anxiety or pain medications that sedate), antihypertensive drugs (blood pressure medications), blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs, verapamil, diltiazem, or celiprolol. No interactions are documented for hyaluronic acid in our data, though we could not check polysaccharides, collagen, or xanthohumol.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
If you're looking at joint support and don't take blood pressure drugs, blood thinners, heart medications, or sedating drugs, this product may be worth exploring — but run your medications through our checker first. Anyone on verapamil, diltiazem, celiprolol, or CNS depressants should talk with their pharmacist before adding it.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: discuss with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice.

Pure Joint Support by Shape by HIT Nutrition Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Pure Joint Support by Shape by HIT Nutrition contains one ingredient with documented interactions: hesperidin.
This ingredient interacts with seven categories of medications, all at Moderate severity.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Hesperidin may increase sedation if you take it with CNS depressants (sedating drugs, sleeping pills, anxiety medications) — though this has been seen in animals, not yet reported in humans. It can theoretically lower your blood pressure further if you're already on blood pressure medications, and it may increase bleeding risk if you take blood thinners (anticoagulants) or antiplatelet drugs.
Hesperidin also interacts with certain heart medications: it may raise levels of verapamil and diltiazem, potentially strengthening their effects, while it may lower levels of celiprolol.
Three other active ingredients — polysaccharides, collagen, and xanthohumol — we could not check; no interaction data is on file for them. High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid has been checked with no interactions documented in our data, though that's not a guarantee none exist elsewhere.
Altogether, these interactions span 694 individual medications. Use the search tool below to check your exact prescriptions before starting this product.

For each ingredient in Pure Joint Support with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Hesperidin
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, hesperidin may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Animal research suggests that hesperetin, a bioflavonoid aglycone derivative of hesperidin, may have antiplatelet activity.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, taking hesperidin with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Some clinical and animal research shows that hesperidin can decrease blood pressure. However, other clinical research shows that hesperidin does not affect blood pressure.
Celiprolol (Celicard)
Theoretically, hesperidin may decrease the levels and clinical effects of celiprolol.
Animal research shows that concomitant use of hesperidin may reduce the plasma area under the curve of celiprolol by up to 75%. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Cns Depressants
Theoretically, concomitant use with CNS depressants may cause additive sedative effects.
Animal studies show that hesperidin has sedative effects, due to opioid receptor activity and can increase sedation when used with diazepam. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Diltiazem (Cardizem, Others)
Theoretically, hesperidin may increase the levels and clinical effects of diltiazem.
Animal research suggests that hesperidin may enhance the bioavailability of diltiazem, increasing the plasma area under the curve of diltiazem by up to 65.3%. This effect has not been reported in humans.
P-Glycoprotein Substrates
Theoretically, hesperidin might inhibit P-glycoprotein-mediated drug efflux and potentially increase levels of drugs that are substrates of P-glycoprotein.
In vitro research shows that hesperidin can inhibit P-glycoprotein efflux. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Verapamil (Calan, Others)
Theoretically, hesperidin might increase the levels and clinical effects of verapamil.
Animal research suggests that hesperidin may enhance the bioavailability of verapamil, increasing the plasma area under the curve of verapamil by 96.8%. This effect has not been reported in humans
