Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: raspberry ketone, derived from raspberries. It's included in foods at low levels, but this supplement delivers a concentrated dose.
The capsule itself is made from vegetarian material.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for raspberry ketone is thin. For alopecia areata (a type of hair loss) and obesity, the data we hold shows insufficient reliable evidence to rate how well it works.
In other words, we don't have solid proof that it's effective for these uses.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Raspberry ketone has been used in foods safely for years, but human safety data for the high doses in supplements is very limited. Because of its stimulant-like properties, side effects have been reported — including heart palpitations, rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure, sweating, diarrhea, and shakiness.
One serious case involved a dangerous heart arrhythmia that resolved after the person stopped taking it. The safety data advises against use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding because there isn't enough information to know it's safe at concentrated supplement doses.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Raspberry Ketone by Pure Health Naturally, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take warfarin or other blood thinners — the supplement may lower how well they work. Also double-check any stimulant medications, including decongestants and ADHD drugs, because the combination may raise your risk of heart side effects.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Raspberry ketone might interest someone looking for help with hair loss or weight, but the evidence supporting it isn't established. More importantly, it carries real risks with blood thinners and stimulant drugs, and case reports of serious heart problems are concerning.
If you take warfarin or any stimulant medication, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before trying this supplement.

Raspberry Ketone by Pure Health Naturally Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Raspberry Ketone by Pure Health Naturally does interact with medications.
The main concern is with blood thinners like warfarin (Coumadin) — raspberry ketone may require your doctor to increase your warfarin dose to keep your blood clotting at the right level. One patient needed a dose bump from 55 mg to 70 mg per week while taking 250 mg daily of raspberry ketone.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The other significant worry is stimulant drugs (like certain decongestants, ADHD medications, or weight-loss agents). Because raspberry ketone is structurally similar to synephrine, a stimulant, it may increase the risk of heart problems — palpitations, high blood pressure, or dangerous irregular heartbeats.
Case reports describe serious events including heart arrhythmias in people taking raspberry ketone.
Altogether, these interactions span 174 individual medications. If you take warfarin, any stimulant medication, or any other prescription drugs, check your exact medications with the tool on this page before starting raspberry ketone.

For each ingredient in Raspberry Ketone with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Raspberry Ketone
Stimulant Drugs
Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects with stimulant drugs.
Structurally, raspberry ketone resembles synephrine, a known stimulant agent. Heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, coronary vasospasm, pulseless electrical activity arrest, and resistant polymorphic ventricular tachycardia have been reported in patients taking raspberry ketone.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase warfarin dose requirements.
In one case report, a patient taking warfarin 55 mg per week had a decrease in INR over a period of one month while taking raspberry ketone 250 mg daily. A warfarin dose increase to 70 mg per week was necessary to maintain a therapeutic INR while taking raspberry ketone. The mechanism for this potential interaction is not known.
