Re-Leaf Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Re-Leaf against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Re-Leaf is a liquid blend with four active plant ingredients. Cramp Bark, California Poppy (fresh), Pedicularis (fresh), and Wild Lettuce (fresh) make up the formula — they're traditionally used for muscle tension and relaxation.
The liquid also contains alcohol and water as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence we hold doesn't establish that any of these ingredients work for their traditional uses. Cramp Bark is used in folk medicine for muscle cramps, kidney stones, and menstrual discomfort, but we have insufficient reliable evidence to rate it for any of these.
California Poppy and Wild Lettuce are traditionally used for anxiety and sleep, but again, the evidence we hold rates both as insufficient to establish they work. This doesn't mean they don't — it means the clinical data we have on file isn't strong enough to confirm it.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Human safety data for all three checked ingredients are limited. California Poppy and Wild Lettuce are generally considered mild for short-term use, but both carry cautions.
When wild lettuce is used in large amounts or harvested too early, it's been linked to serious effects like dizziness, headache, and in rare cases coma and death — so dose and sourcing matter. When California Poppy was used with other herbs in one study, some people reported muscular stiffness, morning fatigue, and nausea, though it's unclear which ingredient caused them.
During pregnancy, the safety data advises against all three checked ingredients — Cramp Bark, California Poppy, and Wild Lettuce. The same goes for breastfeeding.
We hold no pregnancy or breastfeeding data for Pedicularis. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you're pregnant, nursing, or planning to be.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take any sedating medications (CNS depressants) — including sleep aids, anti-anxiety drugs, opioids, and antihistamines — check with your doctor or pharmacist before adding this product; California Poppy and Wild Lettuce may increase drowsiness. Also double-check if you're on anticholinergic drugs (for overactive bladder, nausea, or other conditions) because of Wild Lettuce's potential interaction.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Re-Leaf is marketed for relaxation, but we don't have reliable evidence that its ingredients work for that. More importantly, if you take sedating drugs — sleep aids, anxiety meds, opioids, antihistamines — or anticholinergic medications, you need to check your exact list with your doctor or pharmacist before starting this.
All three checked ingredients have limited human safety data, so this isn't a first-choice product for most people.

Re-Leaf by Red Moon Herbs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Re-Leaf by Red Moon Herbs contains California Poppy and Wild Lettuce, both of which interact with medications.
The most serious documented interaction is Moderate: both ingredients may increase sedation when taken with CNS depressants (sedating drugs like sleep aids, anxiety medications, and opioids).
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Wild Lettuce also has a Moderate interaction with anticholinergic drugs (medications that dry the mouth and slow the gut, used for conditions like overactive bladder and certain types of poisoning). The evidence on whether wild lettuce actually contains anticholinergic compounds is mixed, but case reports exist of people taking large amounts experiencing anticholinergic side effects like constipation, dry mouth, and dizziness.
Cramp Bark and Pedicularis couldn't be fully checked — we hold no interaction data for Pedicularis, and Cramp Bark shows no interactions documented in our data. Neither finding is a guarantee of safety; it only means the data we have doesn't flag them.
Altogether, these interactions span 393 individual medications.

Wild Lettuce, Fresh
Anticholinergic Drugs
Studies report varying evidence on whether or not wild lettuce contains hyoscyamine, an anticholinergic drug. If it does, it appears to be in very low amounts. Nevertheless, there have been case reports of individuals consuming large amounts of wild lettuce experiencing anticholinergic-related side effects, such as constipation, dry mouth, dizziness, and sweating. Therefore, if you are already taking a drug with anticholinergic effects, you should be cautious about combining it with wild lettuce as the risk of side effects may be increased.
