Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product contains one active ingredient: strawberry powder. It's made from concentrated strawberries and contains the natural compounds found in the fruit, including phenolics and other plant compounds.

There are no other active ingredients — just the strawberry itself.

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

This is a single-ingredient Strawberry product and its label doesn't state a use — see Strawberry's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.

The evidence for strawberry powder's effectiveness isn't established in our data. Studies looking at whether it helps cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure all show insufficient reliable evidence to make a claim either way.

If you're considering this supplement for one of those conditions, talk with your doctor about what the science actually supports for your situation.

How safe is it?

Safety Information · database check
Some gaps

Safety data exists for these ingredients, but with some important gaps.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 0 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Strawberries as food are eaten widely and considered safe in normal amounts. When taken as a concentrated supplement powder, strawberry is generally well tolerated, though in medicinal doses it's not been studied as thoroughly as whole fruit.

Rarely, people report nausea or allergic reactions — including oral allergy syndrome (itching or swelling of the mouth) and skin reactions. If you have a known strawberry allergy, this product isn't for you.

There isn't enough data on concentrated strawberry supplements in pregnancy or while breastfeeding to know whether they're safe, even though eating strawberries as food is generally fine. If you're pregnant or nursing, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this powder.

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Strawberry.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 316 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before taking this product, double-check if you're on blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like aspirin or clopidogrel) — strawberry may increase bleeding risk with these. Also check any medications your doctor said depend on how your body removes them from cells (p-glycoprotein substrates), since strawberry may raise their levels.

Your pharmacist or doctor can review your exact medications with you.

Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs

In vitro and animal research suggests that strawberry extract can inhibit platelet aggregation due to its phenolic content. Theoretically, strawberry might increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
Some anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
P-Glycoprotein Substrates

In vitro research suggests that strawberry extract can inhibit p-glycoprotein efflux. Theoretically, strawberry might inhibit p-glycoprotein mediated drug efflux and potentially increase levels of drugs that are substrates of p-glycoprotein. Until more is known, strawberry should be used cautiously in people taking p-glycoprotein substrates.
Drugs that might be affected include some chemotherapeutic agents (etoposide, paclitaxel, vinblastine, vincristine, vindesine), antifungals (ketoconazole, itraconazole), protease inhibitors (amprenavir, indinavir, nelfinavir, saquinavir), H2 antagonists (cimetidine, ranitidine), some calcium channel blockers (diltiazem, verapamil), corticosteroids, erythromycin, cisapride (Propulsid), fexofenadine (Allegra), cyclosporine, loperamide (Imodium), quinidine, and others.

Strawberry Powder by BulkSupplements.com: Common Questions

Does Strawberry Powder by BulkSupplements.com interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Strawberry Powder has a known interaction with 316 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Strawberry Powder contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Will this strawberry powder actually help with heart health or blood sugar?
The data we have doesn't show enough reliable evidence that strawberry powder works for heart disease, diabetes, cholesterol, or blood pressure. It may have benefits, but we can't claim them based on current evidence. Your doctor can discuss whether it makes sense for your health goals.
Is strawberry powder safe if I'm taking aspirin or other blood thinners?
No — strawberry extract can slow blood clotting in lab studies, which means it may increase bleeding risk when paired with blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if you're on those medications.
Can I take this while pregnant or breastfeeding?
There isn't enough safety data on concentrated strawberry supplements during pregnancy or while nursing to know either way. Eating strawberries as food is generally fine, but the powder is more concentrated and less studied. Check with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
What are the side effects of strawberry powder?
When taken in normal food amounts, strawberry is very well tolerated. At medicinal doses like this powder, it's generally well tolerated too, though nausea has been reported in some trial participants. Rarely, people have had allergic reactions, including itching or swelling of the mouth or skin reactions. If you have a strawberry allergy, avoid this product.
Does this contain anything other than strawberry?
No — this is just strawberry powder with no other active ingredients or fillers.
