SulforaXym Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking SulforaXym against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Partial disclosure
SulforaXym has three active ingredients. Sulforaphane is the main one — it's a compound from cruciferous vegetables like broccoli that's been studied for several health effects.
Broccoli powder provides sulforaphane naturally. Myrosinase is an enzyme that may help your body activate sulforaphane from the broccoli, though we have no interaction data on file for it.
The product also contains AstraZyme, a digestive enzyme blend we couldn't check for interactions. The capsules are filled out with cellulose and water as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for sulforaphane varies by use. It's rated possibly effective for prostate cancer, meaning there's some supportive research but it's not yet proven.
For hay fever (allergic rhinitis) and asthma, we don't have enough reliable evidence to say whether it works. Cancer prevention in general also lacks established evidence in our data.
The rating for Helicobacter pylori (a stomach bacteria) is possibly ineffective, so it's unlikely to help with that infection.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Sulforaphane from food is considered safe, but concentrated supplements like this one haven't been studied as thoroughly for long-term use — that's worth keeping in mind. The most common side effects from oral sulforaphane are bowel discomfort, heartburn, stomach upset, and vomiting.
Less common ones include headache, insomnia, and irritability. There are also reports of seizures in males with autism taking sulforaphane, though these are rare.
One study noted that males aged 13–27 with autism gained an average of 4 pounds more over 18 weeks on sulforaphane than on placebo. For pregnancy, the safety data advises against concentrated supplements — stick to normal food amounts instead.
While breastfeeding, there isn't enough information on supplement-level doses, so use caution and prefer getting sulforaphane from your diet.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check your medications against CYP3A4 substrates, CYP1A2 substrates, and CYP2E1 substrates — all carry Moderate severity interactions with sulforaphane. CYP3A4 drugs (the most affected group) may have increased levels and effects.
If you're unsure whether your medications fall into these categories, your pharmacist can look them up with you using the tool on this page.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glancePartially disclosed formula with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
SulforaXym is worth considering if you're interested in sulforaphane for prostate health and you don't take medications that interact with liver enzymes. If you take any prescriptions at all, check them against the interaction list on this page first — the medication count is large.
Talk to your pharmacist before starting, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of seizures.

SulforaXym by Tomorrow's Nutrition Pro Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
SulforaXym by Tomorrow's Nutrition Pro contains sulforaphane, which interacts with several medication types.
The most serious concern is with CYP3A4 substrates (Moderate severity) — sulforaphane may increase the levels and effects of these drugs by slowing how your liver breaks them down. This hasn't been seen in human trials yet, but the lab evidence is clear enough to warrant checking.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Sulforaphane also affects CYP1A2 and CYP2E1 substrates (both Moderate severity). For CYP1A2 drugs, sulforaphane could theoretically raise or lower their levels depending on which of its compounds dominates — the science is mixed here.
For CYP2E1 substrates, it may increase their levels and effects. Again, human data is sparse.
We couldn't check two other ingredients — myrosinase and AstraZyme — because we hold no interaction data for them. Altogether, these interactions span 712 individual medications.

Broccoli, Powder
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of fresh broccoli daily for 6-12 days can increase CYP1A2 activity by 10% to 200%. Induction of CYP1A2 activity by broccoli is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
Cytochrome P450 2A6 (Cyp2A6) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2A6.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of broccoli daily for 6 days increases CYP2A6 activity by 135% to 550%. Induction of CYP2A6 activity is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
