SynovX Performance Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by XYMOGEN
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking SynovX Performance against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of SynovX Performance by XYMOGEN
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
SynovX Performance contains 5 active ingredients. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that holds water in skin and joints; it's used here for joint support and has shown some promise for dry eye and wound healing.
Collagen is a structural protein found throughout your body. Hesperidin is a plant compound from citrus that some research suggests may help with circulation and inflammation.
Hops strobile extract comes from the flowering cone of the hops plant and has traditionally been used for relaxation. The product also contains other polysaccharides—carbohydrates that may support joint function.
Inactive ingredients include hypromellose (a capsule material), water, dicalcium phosphate, ascorbyl palmitate (a form of vitamin C), silica, and medium chain triglyceride oil.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for this product's ingredients is mixed. Hyaluronic acid is possibly effective for dry eye and venous leg ulcers (slow-healing wounds in the leg), but evidence is insufficient to rate it for aging skin or hay fever.
Hesperidin appears possibly ineffective for high cholesterol and obesity, and evidence is insufficient for fatty liver disease. Hops strobile extract has insufficient evidence for age-related cognitive decline, anxiety, insomnia, sexual dysfunction, ADHD, or indigestion.
Overall, strong evidence for SynovX Performance as a joint support supplement is not established in the data we hold.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Hyaluronic acid is generally well tolerated when taken orally or applied to skin, though the long-term safety of oral supplements isn't fully studied. Topically, it has rarely caused eczema, redness, itching, or wound issues.
Hesperidin is generally well tolerated in food amounts and short-term supplement use, but long-term data is limited. Hops strobile extract is generally well tolerated short-term but may cause drowsiness; long-term safety is not well studied.
One case of allergic rash was reported with a topical hesperidin product. Occupational exposure to hops dust has been linked to chronic cough and bronchitis, though this applies more to workers than supplement users.
A few cases of bleeding in postmenopausal women using supplements containing hops and soy have been reported, though it's unclear whether hops, soy, or the combination was responsible.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking SynovX Performance, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin or clopidogrel)—hesperidin may increase bleeding risk. Also check if you take sedatives or sleep aids, blood pressure medications, heart rate medications (especially verapamil or diltiazem), celiprolol, or hormone replacement therapy.
Hops and hesperidin both carry Moderate-severity interactions with these drug types.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
SynovX Performance is a joint-support formula with ingredients that have some research behind them, though evidence for the product as a whole is incomplete. If you take blood thinners, sedatives, blood pressure medications, or certain heart medications, you'll want to clear this with your doctor or pharmacist first—hesperidin and hops carry documented interactions with these drug types.
Even if you don't take those medications, check your exact prescriptions with the tool on this page before you start.

SynovX Performance by XYMOGEN Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
SynovX Performance by XYMOGEN contains hesperidin and hops strobile extract, both of which interact with medications.
The most serious concern is hesperidin's Moderate-severity effect on blood thinners (anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs), where animal research suggests it may increase bleeding risk—though this hasn't been reported in humans yet.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Hesperidin may also increase sedation when combined with CNS depressants (sedatives, sleep aids, anxiety medications), raise the risk of low blood pressure (hypotension) with blood pressure medications, and potentially boost levels of certain heart medications (verapamil and diltiazem) or reduce the effectiveness of celiprolol. It may also theoretically increase levels of drugs processed through P-glycoprotein (a transport protein in cells).
Hops strobile extract carries similar concerns: it may add to drowsiness with CNS depressants, and may interfere with hormone replacement therapy because its plant compounds can bind to estrogen receptors. Minor interactions with certain blood pressure and heart medications metabolized by your liver are possible but unlikely to be clinically significant.
We could not check collagen or the "Other Polysaccharides" ingredient—no interaction data is on file for those. Altogether, these interactions span 1,132 individual medications.

For each ingredient in SynovX Performance with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Hops Strobile Extract
Cns Depressants
Theoretically, concomitant use of hops with sedative drugs might cause additive sedation.
Some animal research shows that hops has sedative effects.
Estrogens
Theoretically, concomitant use of large amounts of hops might interfere with hormone replacement therapy due to competition for estrogen receptors.
In vitro research suggests that certain hops constituents can competitively bind to estrogen receptors. However, most hops extracts contain very small amounts of these constituents.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Hops extract does not seem to affect the metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that flavonoid constituents of hops inhibit CYP1A2 enzyme activity. However, a pharmacokinetic study in healthy postmenopausal patients shows that taking a standardized extract of spent hops containing prenylated phenols, as 59.5 mg twice daily for 2 weeks, does not affect levels of caffeine, a CYP1A2 probe substrate.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, hops extract might alter metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates; however, this effect may not be clinically significant.
Animal research suggests that specific constituents of hops, called lupulones, can induce hepatic CYP3A4 enzyme activity. However, a pharmacokinetic study in healthy postmenopausal patients with normal metabolism shows that taking a standardized extract of spent hops containing prenylated phenols, as 59.5 mg twice daily for 2 weeks, decreases the concentration of alprazolam, a CYP3A4 probe substrate, by 7.6%. This reduction is unlikely to be clinically relevant.
Hesperidin
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, hesperidin may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Animal research suggests that hesperetin, a bioflavonoid aglycone derivative of hesperidin, may have antiplatelet activity.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, taking hesperidin with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Some clinical and animal research shows that hesperidin can decrease blood pressure. However, other clinical research shows that hesperidin does not affect blood pressure.
Celiprolol (Celicard)
Theoretically, hesperidin may decrease the levels and clinical effects of celiprolol.
Animal research shows that concomitant use of hesperidin may reduce the plasma area under the curve of celiprolol by up to 75%. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Cns Depressants
Theoretically, concomitant use with CNS depressants may cause additive sedative effects.
Animal studies show that hesperidin has sedative effects, due to opioid receptor activity and can increase sedation when used with diazepam. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Diltiazem (Cardizem, Others)
Theoretically, hesperidin may increase the levels and clinical effects of diltiazem.
Animal research suggests that hesperidin may enhance the bioavailability of diltiazem, increasing the plasma area under the curve of diltiazem by up to 65.3%. This effect has not been reported in humans.
P-Glycoprotein Substrates
Theoretically, hesperidin might inhibit P-glycoprotein-mediated drug efflux and potentially increase levels of drugs that are substrates of P-glycoprotein.
In vitro research shows that hesperidin can inhibit P-glycoprotein efflux. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Verapamil (Calan, Others)
Theoretically, hesperidin might increase the levels and clinical effects of verapamil.
Animal research suggests that hesperidin may enhance the bioavailability of verapamil, increasing the plasma area under the curve of verapamil by 96.8%. This effect has not been reported in humans
