What’s inside
Low disclosure
This tea contains 4 active ingredients: hibiscus, elderberry, holy basil (tulsi), and the herbs in the proprietary blend. Elderberry and holy basil are the ones with documented effects and interactions; they're the main players here.
The product also lists two inactive flavor ingredients—raspberry and peach—to round out the taste.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for what this tea actually does is thin. Elderberry has insufficient reliable evidence for allergic rhinitis, cardiovascular disease, chronic fatigue, COPD, cognitive function, and respiratory infections.
Holy basil (tulsi) similarly lacks strong evidence for generalized anxiety, asthma, headache, respiratory infections, dental plaque, and diabetes. So while both herbs are traditional remedies, we don't have solid clinical data backing their use for these conditions in our records.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Elderberry from properly cooked fruit is generally well tolerated. Raw or unripe berries, seeds, leaves, and bark contain compounds that cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, and dizziness—but cooking eliminates the toxin.
A small number of people have reported nausea and vomiting with elderberry products. One case report noted autoimmune hepatitis in a patient taking elderberry for years; they recovered after stopping it and starting treatment.
Holy basil is generally well tolerated short-term, though long-term safety data are limited. A small number of trial participants experienced nausea or loose stools.
During pregnancy, animal data raise concerns and human safety isn't established, so it's best avoided. The same goes for breastfeeding—there isn't enough reliable information.
Elderberry should also be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient safety data.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check before you start if you take immunosuppressant drugs, blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like aspirin or warfarin), diabetes medications, the cancer drug pazopanib, or barbiturates like pentobarbital. All of these have Moderate-severity interactions documented with elderberry or holy basil in this blend.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
If you take immunosuppressants, blood thinners, diabetes drugs, or barbiturates, talk to your pharmacist before drinking this tea. Pregnant or breastfeeding people should skip it.
For everyone else, a cup now and then is unlikely to cause trouble, but the evidence that it does anything for your health isn't there yet.

Tulsi Raspberry Peach by Organic India Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Organic India's Tulsi Raspberry Peach interacts with several medication types, mainly through its elderberry and holy basil (tulsi) content.
The most serious documented concern is with immunosuppressant drugs (Moderate severity): elderberry has immunostimulant activity that might interfere with these medications' effectiveness. There's also a case report of severe liver injury in a patient taking pazopanib (a cancer drug) alongside elderberry, so that's another Moderate-severity consideration.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Holy basil presents three Moderate-severity interactions to watch for. It may increase bleeding risk with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (like aspirin or warfarin) by prolonging bleeding time in animal studies—though we don't yet know if this happens in people.
It can lower blood sugar (hypoglycemia) when combined with diabetes medications, based on small clinical trials. And it might intensify the sedative effects of pentobarbital, a barbiturate—again, shown in animal work but unconfirmed in humans.
Elderberry also interacts with pazopanib specifically (Moderate severity), as noted above. We couldn't check hibiscus for interactions.
Altogether, these interactions span 326 individual medications. Check your exact prescriptions with the tool below before you brew a cup.

Small clinical studies show that taking holy basil can decrease fasting blood glucose and other measures of glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Pentobarbital (Nembutal)
Theoretically, holy basil seed oil might increase the sedative effects of pentobarbital.
Animal research shows that holy basil seed oil increases pentobarbitone-induced sleeping time. However, it is not known if this occurs in humans or if this applies to other barbiturates or sedatives.
Elderberry
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, elderberry might interfere with immunosuppressant therapy due to its immunostimulant activity.
