Ultra Nox contains five active ingredients. Vitamin B12 supports energy and nerve health.
L-citrulline is an amino acid that may help athletic performance by boosting blood flow. Agmatine sulfate is a compound derived from the amino acid arginine, included for possible effects on exercise capacity.
Nitrosigine is a compound we have no interaction data on file for. Terminalia arjuna bark extract comes from a traditional Ayurvedic plant and is added for cardiovascular support.
The product also contains inactive ingredients — microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, and several others — which serve as fillers, binders, and coating materials to hold the tablet together and protect it.

Moderate evidence
The evidence here is mixed and mostly limited. Vitamin B12 is effective for treating B12 deficiency and certain neurological conditions, and it's considered likely effective for cyanide poisoning.
L-citrulline is possibly effective for athletic performance but possibly ineffective for muscle loss (sarcopenia). For agmatine, terminalia arjuna, and several other uses listed — including heart failure, diabetes, hypertension, and others — the evidence we hold isn't strong enough to rate either way.

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Vitamin B12 is generally very well tolerated with no established upper limit — your body excretes excess. It's considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding at recommended doses.
L-citrulline and agmatine are generally well tolerated short-term in healthy adults, though long-term safety hasn't been fully studied. The most common side effects with L-citrulline and agmatine are gastrointestinal — heartburn, stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea — and a small number of people reported cough with L-citrulline.
Rare allergic reactions to B12 (rash, itching) have been reported, and in one case, oral B12 caused contact dermatitis in someone with a cobalt allergy. During pregnancy, L-citrulline and agmatine safety data is insufficient, so the recommendation is to avoid them.
Terminalia arjuna also lacks enough safety data in pregnancy and breastfeeding — avoid supplemental use in both. There isn't enough data on file for B12 pregnancy and breastfeeding safety — discuss your situation with your doctor or pharmacist.

Oxyjun Terminalia arjuna bark extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of Terminalia arjuna with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs may increase the risk of bleeding in some patients.
In vitro, Terminalia arjuna bark extract inhibits platelet aggregation, decreases platelet activation, and shows antithrombotic properties.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of Terminalia bellirica or Terminalia chebula with antidiabetes drugs could affect blood sugar control and increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal and in vitro research shows that Terminalia bellirica and Terminalia chebula fruit and seed extract have hypoglycemic effects.
Chlorzoxazone (Parafon Forte, Paraflex)
Theoretically, use of Terminalia chebula may increase the risk of adverse effects from chlorzoxazone.
Animal research shows that enteral administration of Terminalia chebula for 15 days prior to administration of chlorzoxazone increases blood levels of chlorzoxazone and decreases chlorzoxazone clearance. It is speculated that Terminalia chebula reduces the metabolism of chlorzoxazone by inhibiting cytochrome P450 2E1.
Cytochrome P450 2C9 (Cyp2C9) Substrates
Theoretically, use of Terminalia arjuna may increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP2C9 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Terminalia arjuna extract inhibits CYP2C9 enzymes and reduces CYP2C9 substrate metabolism.
Cytochrome P450 2D6 (Cyp2D6) Substrates
Theoretically, use of Terminalia arjuna may increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Terminalia arjuna extract inhibits CYP2D6 enzymes and reduces CYP2D6 substrate metabolism.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, use of Terminalia arjuna may increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Terminalia arjuna extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes and reduces CYP3A4 substrate metabolism.
Omeprazole (Prilosec)
Theoretically, use of Terminalia chebula may increase the risk of adverse effects from omeprazole.
Animal research shows that enteral administration of Terminalia chebula for 15 days prior to administration of omeprazole increases blood levels of omeprazole and decreases omeprazole clearance. It is speculated that Terminalia chebula reduces the metabolism of omeprazole by inhibiting cytochrome P450 2C19.
Agmatine Sulfate
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, agmatine might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal and in vitro research suggest that agmatine has mild hypoglycemic effects.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, agmatine might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.
Animal research suggests that agmatine can modestly decrease heart rate and blood pressure.
L-Citrulline
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of L-citrulline with antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects and increase the chance of hypotension.
L-citrulline is converted to L-arginine, which can increase nitric oxide and cause vasodilation. However, a meta-analysis of 5 small clinical studies suggests that taking L-citrulline 3-6 grams daily for 1-8 weeks does not lower blood pressure when compared with control.
Phosphodiesterase-5 Inhibitors
Theoretically, concurrent use of phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitors and L-citrulline might result in additive vasodilation.
L-citrulline is converted to L-arginine, which can increase nitric oxide and cause vasodilation. Theoretically, taking L-arginine with PDE-5 inhibitors might have additive vasodilatory and hypotensive effects. However, in studies evaluating the combined use of L-arginine and sildenafil for erectile dysfunction, hypotension was not reported.
Vitamin B12
Metformin (Glucophage)
Metformin, a common medication used to manage type 2 diabetes, has been associated with lower vitamin B12 levels in some individuals. Prolonged use of metformin can interfere with the absorption of B12 in the digestive system, potentially leading to a deficiency in this essential vitamin.
