Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
XFit Power contains 5 active ingredients. Two are B vitamins: Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12, both play roles in energy, nerve function, and metabolism.
The product also includes D-aspartic acid, folate, and a proprietary blend labeled POWER 24 Hour Muscle Building & Repair System. The inactive ingredients are standard tablet components — microcrystalline cellulose, calcium carbonate, stearic acid, and several processing aids — that help form and stabilize the tablet.
Does it work?
Leans against
The evidence we hold covers only the B vitamins in this product. Vitamin B6 is effective for sideroblastic anemia and B6 deficiency itself, likely effective for high homocysteine (hyperhomocysteinemia), and possibly effective for pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting.
Vitamin B12 is effective for B12 deficiency and Imerslund-Grasbeck disease, likely effective for cyanide poisoning, and possibly effective for canker sores and nerve pain after shingles (postherpetic neuralgia). We hold no effectiveness data for the other ingredients in this product.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Vitamin B6 is well tolerated at doses under 100 mg daily, but high doses over time can damage nerves (a condition called sensory neuropathy). Doses above 1,000 mg daily or lifetime totals of 1,000 grams or more carry the highest risk, though nerve damage can occur at lower amounts too.
Common side effects at any dose include headache, nausea, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite. Vitamin B12 is very safe overall — your body excretes excess B12 in urine, so there's no established upper limit.
The most common side effect is injection site soreness if given by needle. Allergic reactions (rash, itching) are rare.
No pregnancy or breastfeeding safety data is on file for either B vitamin in this product; talk with your doctor or pharmacist for guidance if you're pregnant or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check this product if you take seizure medications (phenobarbital or phenytoin), blood pressure pills, the heart drug amiodarone (Cordarone), levodopa for Parkinson's disease without carbidopa, or metformin for diabetes. The first two seizure drugs and blood pressure medications carry Moderate-severity concerns; the others are Minor.
No interactions are documented for the other ingredients we could not check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with graded evidence leaning against its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
XFit Power may work for you if you're looking to support energy and muscle recovery with B vitamins, but it comes with real drug interactions you need to check first — especially if you take seizure medications, blood pressure drugs, or heart medications. If you take metformin for diabetes, be aware that this product's B12 won't offset metformin's effect on B12 levels.
Run your medications through the checker on this page, and talk with your pharmacist before starting.

XFit Power by MHP Maximum Human Performance Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
XFit Power by MHP Maximum Human Performance contains two ingredients with documented drug interactions: Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12.
Vitamin B6 is the ingredient with the most serious interaction — it may reduce the blood levels and effectiveness of two seizure medications, phenobarbital (Luminal) and phenytoin (Dilantin), both Moderate severity concerns. This happens when B6 doses are high (200 mg daily or more); it's not clear whether lower doses pose the same risk.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Vitamin B6 also has Moderate interactions with blood pressure medications (antihypertensives) — it may add to their effect and lower your pressure further — and with the heart rhythm drug amiodarone (Cordarone), where it may worsen light sensitivity. At Minor severity, B6 can speed up how your body breaks down levodopa if you take it without carbidopa (Sinemet), reducing its usefulness for Parkinson's disease.
Vitamin B12 has one Minor interaction: metformin (Glucophage), used for type 2 diabetes, can lower B12 levels over time and interfere with how your body absorbs it. We could not check three other ingredients — D-aspartic acid, folate, and DL-a-hydroxyisocaproic acid — because we hold no interaction data for them.
Altogether, these interactions span 227 individual medications. Check your exact medications with the search tool on this page before you start.

For each ingredient in XFit Power with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Vitamin B6
Amiodarone (Cordarone)
Theoretically, vitamin B6 might increase the photosensitivity caused by amiodarone.
Despite initial case reports suggesting that pyridoxine may have a protective effect against amiodarone-induced photosensitivity, preliminary clinical research suggests that pyridoxine may actually exacerbate this adverse effect.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, vitamin B6 may have additive effects when used with antihypertensive drugs.
Research in hypertensive rats shows that vitamin B6 can decrease systolic blood pressure. Similarly, clinical research in patients with hypertension shows that taking high doses of vitamin B6 may reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure, possibly by reducing plasma levels of epinephrine and norepinephrine.
Phenobarbital (Luminal)
High doses of vitamin B6 may reduce the levels and clinical effects of phenobarbital.
Preliminary clinical evidence suggests that vitamin B6 200 mg daily can reduce plasma levels of phenobarbital, possibly by increasing metabolism. It is not known whether lower doses have any effect. Advise people taking phenobarbital to avoid high doses of vitamin B6.
Phenytoin (Dilantin)
High doses of vitamin B6 may reduce the levels and clinical effects of phenytoin.
Preliminary clinical evidence suggests that vitamin B6 200 mg daily can reduce plasma levels of phenytoin, possibly by increasing metabolism. It is not known whether lower doses have any effect. Advise people taking phenytoin to avoid high doses of vitamin B6.
Levodopa
Vitamin B6 may increase the metabolism of levodopa when taken alone, but not when taken in conjunction with carbidopa.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) enhances the metabolism of levodopa, reducing its clinical effects. However, this interaction does not occur when carbidopa is used concurrently with levodopa (Sinemet). Therefore, it is not likely to be a problem in most people.
Vitamin B12
Metformin (Glucophage)
Metformin, a common medication used to manage type 2 diabetes, has been associated with lower vitamin B12 levels in some individuals. Prolonged use of metformin can interfere with the absorption of B12 in the digestive system, potentially leading to a deficiency in this essential vitamin.
