What’s inside
Full disclosure
Young + Radiant Skin has 4 active ingredients. Vitamin A supports skin health and is well-established for treating vitamin A deficiency; it's also studied for aging skin and other skin conditions.
Biotin is a B vitamin that your body needs but that the supplement industry often promotes for hair and nail strength, though the evidence for those uses is limited. Hyaluronic acid is a compound your body makes naturally — it holds water and is studied as a topical and oral ingredient for dry skin and eye dryness.
Hydrolyzed collagen is a broken-down form of the protein collagen, marketed for skin elasticity and joint support. The capsule also contains inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, silica, and magnesium stearate.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Vitamin A is effective for vitamin A deficiency and possibly effective for aging skin and other skin conditions. Biotin is likely effective for biotin deficiency; the evidence for it improving hair loss or skin conditions like seborrheic dermatitis is not strong.
Hyaluronic acid is possibly effective for dry eye and possibly effective for wound healing, but the evidence for its effect on aging skin specifically is not established in our data. We don't have effectiveness data on file for hydrolyzed collagen.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Vitamin A is generally well tolerated at normal dietary amounts and recommended supplement doses. High doses, though, build up in your body and can cause serious effects — liver problems, headache, blurred vision, and in severe cases, pseudotumor cerebri (fluid buildup around the brain) or even coma.
The safety data advises against high-dose vitamin A in pregnancy because of birth defect risk; normal dietary amounts are appropriate. Biotin is generally well tolerated, even at fairly high doses, because your body clears the excess.
One isolated case report linked high-dose biotin to a lung and heart inflammation, but no pattern has emerged since. There isn't enough safety data on oral hyaluronic acid supplements — long-term effects haven't been fully studied.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding safety information isn't on file for hyaluronic acid or hydrolyzed collagen.
Meds to double-check
Major interaction found
Check your medications before you start, particularly if you take retinoids (isotretinoin, tretinoin, or similar), warfarin or other blood thinners, tetracycline antibiotics like doxycycline, or drugs known to affect the liver. These carry Major or Moderate interaction risks with the vitamin A in this product.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with clinical evidence supporting its stated purpose. Major medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product might appeal to you if you're interested in skin support, particularly if you have vitamin A deficiency or are looking for possible benefits in aging skin. If you take a retinoid (acne or anti-wrinkle prescription), a blood thinner, a tetracycline antibiotic, or any medication that stresses your liver, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before starting — the vitamin A content matters.
Pregnant women should check with their clinician before using, especially at higher doses.

Young + Radiant Skin. by GT Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Young + Radiant Skin by GT contains vitamin A, which does interact with several medication types.
The most serious concern is with retinoids (vitamin A derivatives like isotretinoin and tretinoin) — taking them together can push vitamin A levels into the toxic range, and the two drugs have additive harmful effects. You'll want to avoid this combination altogether.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Vitamin A at high doses also poses Moderate-severity risks with blood thinners like warfarin (increased bleeding risk), tetracycline antibiotics (elevated pressure inside the skull), and other drugs that can stress the liver. Biotin and hyaluronic acid have no known interactions documented in our data.
We could not check hydrolyzed collagen — interaction data isn't on file for it. Altogether, these interactions span 371 individual medications.
Before you start this product, run your exact prescription medications through the interaction checker on this page, especially if you take a retinoid, warfarin, or any tetracycline antibiotic.

For each ingredient in Young + Radiant Skin. with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Vitamin A
Retinoids
Concomitant use of retinoids with vitamin A supplements might produce supratherapeutic vitamin A levels.
Retinoids, which are vitamin A derivatives, could have additive toxic effects when taken with vitamin A supplements.
Hepatotoxic Drugs
Theoretically, taking high doses of vitamin A in combination with other potentially hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of liver disease.
The tolerable upper intake level (UL) is the highest level of intake that is likely to pose no risk of adverse effects. Doses of vitamin A above the UL can cause hepatotoxicity, ranging from elevated liver enzymes to liver failure.
Tetracycline Antibiotics
Theoretically, taking tetracycline antibiotics with high doses of vitamin A can increase the risk of pseudotumor cerebri.
Benign intracranial hypertension (pseudotumor cerebri) can occur with tetracyclines and with acute or chronic vitamin A toxicity. Case reports suggest that taking tetracyclines and vitamin A concurrently can increase the risk of this condition. Avoid high doses of vitamin A in people taking tetracyclines chronically.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, high doses of vitamin A could increase the risk of bleeding with warfarin.
Vitamin A toxicity is associated with hemorrhage and hypoprothrombinemia, possibly due to vitamin K antagonism. Advise patients taking warfarin to avoid doses of vitamin A above the tolerable upper intake level of 10,000 IU/day for adults.
